We the modern Assyrians are connected by our native Aramaic language, Aramaic is also spoken in Israel. Given the vast Assyrian empire from 9th to 6th BC some Assyrian look more European and some more dark complication. My family all have green/blue eyes and light hair and skin. The big question is who were the Assyrians kings and their bloodline since they only married their own kind to keep corruption out, but it never worked and their was always civil war. Hope that helps!

May you show us historic connection between the ancient Assyrians and their lineage kinship with the new Assyrian people of contemporary people of Germany? History shows us that After Trebeta abdicated his own father's throne, his step-mother Nourerta, upon knowing the fatal death of her husband, King Ninos, she chased her son-in-law Trebeta who fled with his own army contingency heading north-West till they reached a northern region of what is Germany and built the oldest city in Europe called "Trier. I know that the German call themselves "Alamn" which is an ancient Assyrian word for "Our people". Thank you for your rich information.

Love what you do with the current consensus of history.. you tell it like any story teller would have on any age past, with a tone full of wonder... Anyway, I'd really like to know where the mountain shots at 0:06 are from.. looks amazing! o you know?

You sir r awesome, can't believe how fast this segment seemed. Not enough on the Bronze out there. Perhaps u would consider a History on Lewians (and, No, not Troy). An under appreciated field of research on a Great civilization. Keep up the fantastic work. Thanx.

Not only are these well-done, informative, and entertaining, my highest praise for a historian is that I can’t tell if you are atheist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jedi, or whatever else.

THANKS for the diligent work. I used to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses and even though the thoroughly discourage learning secular history, my introduction to the bible awakened me to Mesopotamian history and the more I read, the more I wanted to know about the people referred to as "enemies" of Jehovah. Now that I am out, I am free to learn as much as I want and to be rid of the religious falsehood from the JW.

Gaslit world, in fact, the Assyrians are the nation that knew our omnipotent God before any other nation. Remember when Jonah went to Nineveh and he was choked to see that the Ninevites were more religious and pious than himself. Give you an example, Did you remember what Jesus Christ boosted the faith of the Ninevites. REFER this to Matthew 12-41. There are more proves that the Assyrians used to introduce GOd of our times to the people who were heather and pagans. Remember, God himself called Assyria, "My mighty hand". Please try to read the Holy Bible again.

@@HistoryTime U r very welcome.U know,on 11th of November there will be 100 years, since Poland came back on the maps after 123 years of Partition of Poland in 1795.Intresting fact is that the only country that did not agree to that and did not erased Poland from maps was Turkey-Ottoman Empire. And here`s the thing:Poland fought with Turkey from1485 to 1699,five full Wars, not including around 150 raids by Tatars. And look-the only country and Muslin country showed chivalry and said -NO!France,Spain,Italy,Enland-did nothing.Maybe this topic could make for a good video some day.Once again-all the best.
