Good answers from the captain. He seems like a sensible guy. People are shouting from dropping Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen etc, but that wont help. When players go through a rough patch, they need support and backing, the require the team's confidence in order to bounce back. If Pakistan suddenly decides to drop key players, they will faire even worse.

First thing .. Pak team needs to change their attitude and then select good spinners who inspire saqlain musthak ,yadgir sha,azmal,mustak ahamad..etc Focus on fast bowlers who can swing the ball both with new and old ball, Give more opportunity to technicaly sound batsman rather any hitter.

Bad patch for the team, it is important that the PCB holds fort and focuses on improving grass-roots level cricket in Pakistan. No point in blaming the current crop of players, they are good, but the other international teams have gone ahead, that's why they are losing. Using such flat surfaces to gain points from draws won't work against top teams like Eng, Aus and Ind. All the Pak fast bowlers were neutralized, and their spinner was useless on this track. In comparison Leech bowled beautifully and so did Carse, Atkinson and Woakes. Hope Pak cricket improves.

I feel bad for Shan Mashud. If Pakistan was able to reach the score of more then 550+, his brilliant innings (daddy century ) was a big contribution. I don't know why he is answering the questions in a roundabout manner. He should say openly that Pakistan's bowling squad performed very poorly and pathetic. If Pakistani bowlers had performed better in the first innings then Pakistan would have had better chances of winning this test match.
