There was a really bad catfishing situation that happened in Nova Scotia, my home province in Canada, that ended up with a 19 year old boy dead. He committed suicide, which was his decision, but it was also because this person that cat fished him left him heartbroken... she pretended to be the mother of the girl he was talking to and said she had committed suicide. Anyway, after his suicide, police investigated the woman online and found out she was alive, but wasn't who she said she was... and the mother of the 19 year old is still trying to get her arrested and sent to prison for identity theft and a few other things, because she can't be held responsible for a suicide!
