I absolutely enjoy any of Shane Douglas's interviews. He always comes off as one of the highly intelligent well spoken wrestlers. Also, just an honest, decent guy.

As a kid I really liked Shane Douglas in his short WWF run from 1990-1991 in his orange trunks, I always thought he had a lot of potential even back then.

Love Shane. Should have been World champion for Vince at some point. He had it all as a heel (look, charisma, ring ability, promo, intelligence, etc). Was just packaged wrong in NY

Would have been huge during the New Generation era. His “Franchise” gimmick would have stood out during that time period. Probably would have had trouble being a top guy during the Attitude Era due to the competition in the company but still could have been an accomplished upper midcarder there too.

Him and francine are the only reason I miss being allowed on twitter. They'd always chat me up and I'd send them pictures of the odeum in villa park IL where they had a couple ECW shows. Great folks...not afraid to take time out for fans at all. Much respect to the franchise and Francine.

That would've been an awesome idea. Of course Vince couldn't have Shane outshine HBK. As long as HHH/ HBK or the cliq were there, no one really had a chance. Of that's just my opinion. Did perfect ever wrestle Shane! I can't remember.

Shane has an incredible mind for the business now that he's not protecting his spot. Also, I loved TNA until Hogan/Bischoff came in. I'm terrified that wrestling could end up like roller derby bc Shane is right. PS New Jack/Shark Boy was actually the best tag team going at its time in TNA.

He's totally right about the wrestlers today mainly look the same, same slimish muscular six pack, little beard, handsome with tattoos which I can't stand anyway as it seem everyone today has tattoos especially girls and they look bad enough on men never mind women! Anyway that's besides the point, the wrestlers in the old days were all so different and unique, I think that's one of the main reasons it was so popular. Just the visual of it, the distinct characters. Like macho man was so different from the undertaker who was so different from roddy piper and ultimate warrior was so different from jake the snake and the list goes on and on. All had distinct looks, voices, outfits and body types. Another thing is the entrance music seems to be so generic and boring, it all sounds similar and has no relevance to the character that's walking down the aisle. When LOD's "AAAAAHHH whata rush!" hit or the undertakers dong dong or the first few chords of Hulk hogan's music hit you knew exactly who was coming! But now if you don't watch it that often you struggle to recognise it. Vince mcmahon had one good idea in his life and been living off of it ever since! He made a success out of others creations but now all those creations are long retired and gone he can't come up with anything original on his own.

I mean while Dark Side might have been Biased but Shane basically confirmed everything that they said on the Warrior episode. I still cant believe what he did to Pitbull Gary Wolfe

It’s true though. High spots = horror movies (violence) people become immune to it . Then there’s no surprise ••• used the horror movies analogy because a few jump scenes can make or break a good horror movie. (The build up is required)

We love you in Philly still, I would like to know if someone can ask former ECW wrestlers from the mid 90s if they thought if bruiser Brody lived when he wind up there?
@KayFabe873 жыл бұрын
Brody would have likely done a few shots in ECW (for the right price) the same way Hansen, Funk, and Abdullah the Butcher among others did. Brody was always an independent contractor so he wouldn't have been under any kind of a long term exclusive contract with ECW. He also would not have taken kindly to any of his checks bouncing as happened towards the end of ECW and would not have stuck around the way many of the other ECW wrestlers did.
