A nice roll escape from Kharchla, but he has to get more active on the bottom. Looked to be a bit content with being controlled at times. Congrats to Shane, this kid impresses the hell out of me.

Kharchla is very hard to takedown. he’s a shorter, stockier than most 165’s and he uses that to his advantage

Most olympic champions arent short and stockey. Most are leaner and lengthy. Tall guys have a massive leverage and gravity advantage. It can be even better than a short guy's power.

Simple he redshirted and last year had a medical redshirt as well(if you look at early duals you will see the brace)and probably had plenty of time to get bigger and stronger.
