It’s wild 57 people liked this. Doug Pederson, Jim Schwartz, Duce Staley & Jeff Stoutland didn’t have guys prepared ?? LOL. I am excited for this young staff as well guys... but the Eagles were breaking records when it came to injuries the last few years. Hard to be “prepared” when we were decimated with 3-4th stringers

They are amazing. They are all young & smart coaches, saying & doing everything right with a team screaming for good coaches. They are all going to get better, even if we have a losing season. Look at Bill Belichicks first year with the the Pats. He and his coaches had to completely overhaul the team, which had that shit Pete Carrol ruining it.

The energy level of this news coaching staff has me juiced. Of course, no one knows how well this will all translate into and during the season... But man, they have my attention and I'm not even a player. I love how Gannon constantly emphasizes "hit the ball". Has a proactive approach. A stark contrast to Schwartz where it was more of a reactivate approach, Defensively speaking. I'm calling it now, Gannon will be a HC very soon. Like, I will not be surprised if he gets a HC offer as soon as next season.

But we do know. Doug & his coaches were al shit for 5 seasons, and developing players. It is like night & day, going from Doug's 2020 team to Nick's 2021 team. Howie build's good enough rosters around solid Lines ... that will easily have winning seasons & make the playoffs ... but needs good coaching. And not only do we now have much better coaches ... but the 2021 team is already better than the 2017 SB winning Eagles. These are young & smart coaches who will only get better, and even if the have a losing season, they will learn from the mistakes made and bounce back immediately. Look at the losing season Bill Belichick & his coaches had when he took over from shit Pete Carroll who had ruined Parcell's Patriots. Fans need to get hyped. Nick & his coaches are better in every way to Doug & his coaches. And Howie built the the SB winning 2017 roster ... and has just built a roster that better, for Nick Sirianni & his coaches.
@mikel68323 жыл бұрын
@@jsleep2374 It would. But that's been the trend in the NFL for the past couple of seasons. Finding the next "up-and-comer Head Coach" is a hot commodity right now. It's the "Sean McVay effect". And it's a copycat league. From top to bottom.
@mikel68323 жыл бұрын
@@abelincoln6150 Eh. While I appreciate your optimism... I can't say we already know how this all new coaching staff will actually pan out. I do agree that Doug struggled with player development. Well, quite frankly is was pretty bad. And after the SB, he seemed to lack direction and the ability to adapt.
@abelincoln61503 жыл бұрын
@@mikel6832 lol. Doug didn't struggle. He was shit from the start. Simply compare what rookie Doug was saying he was going to do with the team ... to rookie Nick. Did Doug say he wanted to instill the core values of compete, competition, accountability, smarts & fundamentals in every player, to get the best from them, and have the best team on the field at every game? No. All of Nick's coaches young & smart coaches are following his lead, and so far are well on track to building a multiple SB winning team. Howie Roseman built the 2017 roster, especially the OL & the DL which are crucial for any good or top defense & offense. Howie got the needed RB, WR, & backup QB in 2017 ... that the 2016 team should have got in the draft, but that moron Doug & Reich wanted the Eagles to trade up to get Wentz at #2 when he would have still been on the board at #8 because he was a 2nd rd QB at best. Doug was hired by Jeffrey to specifically build an elite PASS HAPPY OFFENSE and to develop a top POCKET PASSER. Doug chose Carson Wentz .. and for five seasons failed to build an elite PASS HAPPY offense or develop Wentz into a top $128 m POCKET PASSER. Doug has been involved with the building of all the rosters since 2016, especially at QB, and has been complete shit at develop the players that he got Howie to draft. All the veteran players that howie signed was because Doug wanted a "win now" roster, instead of developing backups to become starters. Doug was responsible for the cap hell the eagles got themselves into by the end of the 2020 season, ... especially giving a $128 m extension to Wentz who clearly is not a top pocket passer. It is night & day comparing Doug to Nick. And we do already know how this will turn out, because Howie Roseman since being the GM from 2016, builds a "good enough" roster around a top OL & DL .. that will easily have winning seasons & make the playoffs ..... but ... needs good coaching to get the best from the players. Nick Sirianni and his coaching staff ... are without any doubt, very good young & smart coaches ... that have been given another "good enough" roster from Howie ... that is easily better than the 2016 roster that had Wentz as the starter and needed a good WR & RB to make it a contender. The 2021 Eagles do not need a good RB & WR to make it a contender. Neither do they need a CB #2 ... because this is not Doug Pederson's team with his shit coaches, and his win now roster.

Feeling? It's apples & oranges comparing Doug's team to Nick's. Jeffrey should have fired Doug after the 2016 season when he failed to build an elite pass happy offense & develop a top POCKET PASSER that Jeffrey hires all HCs to do. Not only did Doug NOT do the job he was hired to do for five seasons ... but he and his coaches were absolute shit at developing players and getting the best from them. You need only look at Carson Wentz that Doug got the eagles to trade up for to get at #2 when he was a 2nd rd player at best and would have still been on the board at #8. Doug was hired by Jeffrey to develop a top pocket passer ... and an elite PASS HAPPY offense. This is why Doug suddenly went pass happy in 2020, because he knew he was in deep shit with Jeffrey when Howie was allowed to draft Jalen Hurts. Night & Day. Godd riddance to Doug, Doug's coaches & Doug's $128 m top pocket passer lol.

Michael Clay (Special Teams Coordinator) is only 29 years old. He’s the youngest coordinator in the NFL. He was coached by Chip Kelly at Oregon. Came into the league at the same time as Kelly in 2013 and realized he wasn’t gonna make it as a player and transitioned to coaching joining the Eagles as a defensive quality control coach in 2014 (Kelly’s 2nd season) and moved to assistant ST coach in 2015 (Kelly’s last season with the Eagles). Then he followed Kelly to SF and worked under him there and then with Shanahan after Chip got the boot again before getting the promotion to come back to the Eagles this year.

Though Schwartz was a good D coordinator, anybody feel like Gannon has some defensive intensity and personality that Schwartz could of used? I think defensive players will cling to that more and play with more heat than they did for grumpy annoyed grandpa 😄
@abelincoln61503 жыл бұрын
Schwartz was a good coordinator, but he became predictable(set in his ways) and he failed to identity & develop talented young players undrafted or from the later rds. Look at all the potential talent Gannon & his assistant coaches helped Howie get in the draft and from free agency ... with no cap. And we assume, and don't actually know that the Eagles need an outside CB ... because we are comparing Jim's roster to Gannon's. Two completely different coaches.
