Haha I doubt he did have that big a crush! Even Justine Timberlake was dismissive of Mandy when she toured with his group in the late 90s! But he apologized in like 2003 for being rude to her. I think because by then she had really blossomed and was stunning. Probably the same with Shane IMO. 😂

I knew it when I heard the dvd commentary in 2002 and they said the scene on the steps after the cafeteria scene was improvised. He was calling her ‘baby’ and their characters weren’t even together! It was pretty obvious.
