I’m in a model-Government club and they started an overhaul of our fall convention two years ago. It was fairly short, students only had to stay overnight once and the whole thing lasted a day and a half. We were also only dealing with about 600-800 people, but this thing took 5 years to plan. Yoooooooooo Morgan at the end, speaking the harsh truth. I watched Tana since she barely had 20k subs, I loved her funny dramatic stories but after some point she just started to change, the girl who "didn't like weed cause it made her feel lazy" was smoking 24/7 and popping pills, you know when your pill habit gets so bad your friends nickname you "Xana" there's a problem. She just started representing and encouraging things I just couldn't get behind, the partying, the materialism... I think there's a genuine girl in there, I still see it when she breaks down, but she's putting up this facade of what she thinks people wanna see, entertaining people with a train wreck and it's so sad, it's not a path I ever wanted to see her go down. She felt unstoppable and someone saw that and took advantage of her naivety and ambition. I hope she wakes up soon.

I agree completely. But I also believe Michael should be taking most of the blame. He was the one who deceived Tana, hurt so many children, and caused so much chaos. Tana had her heart and mind in the right place, but we all knew it was an act of revenge to Vidcon in the end. But, Michael did lie to Tana, giving her false information about the venue, telling her that the convention would be free. However, it's obvious conventions cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to host. Knowing this, did anyone really get free tickets? Was it all a gimmick for people to go to the website and see the "Free Tickets SOLD OUT" and then be forced to buy a "Feature Creator" ticket? I believe Michael heard Tana's idea, and thought he could make money off of Tana. Because at the end of the day, the most of the money goes to GOOD TIMES, NOT Tana.

I do not think she is the one that scammed people and yeah she was likely used due to her reputation. I do not blame her for what happened but what bothers me is the cover up. Is she being blackmailed? She had to know that place couldn’t hold 5,000 people bc she was literally there. Yet, she came out and said they had 5,000 people inside and 15,000 extra showed up, she didn’t listen to Shane or James Charles who tried to help her. Shane is the one that had to announce it was canceled. Now maybe she was just scared and didn’t know what to do. In the UK, we had something called the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989. The police failed to control the crowds at a football stadium and let too many people into the fenced-in viewing pens. 96 people were crushed to death and 766 were injured due to overcrowding. Tana should count herself EXTREMELY lucky that the worst thing that happened was bad sunburn. The total failure in crowd control at Tanacon could have been a disaster.
