This is a great tool Prof. Been doing it since IMIW came out too. A little more advanced technique for IMIW or Havoc and now Nova is to "reparry". You hold block and block the first hit and quickly tap to parry the second hit of their combo. Takes a bit more practice than this method, but they are both great ways to get around these champs.
@jtnave5 жыл бұрын
I've just started doing this more with IMIW, Thing (when stun immune), Mordo, and Domino but you do have to be careful with the block damage especially if you have a low health champ. Another tip is if you have Hype, do SP1s on champs as they come forward to attack. I use this trick on IMIW/Sentinel all the time in AW.

It's good that you make videos... It generally educates all dedicated mcoc summoners... And tis technique (block-wait for heavy- dash back- attack) is kinda something i learnt some time back , kinda automatically.. coz sometimes you cant evade all combos the opponent dishes out... And we all know you HAVE to avoid getting hit by heavies. And as u mentioned it's an efficient and time saving strategy However one of the downfalls of this method is that ( in other modes) when opponents are much stronger.. The block damage u take is crazy.. so Ultimately u will have to be efficient to evade normal attacks too..

Another small, but great benefit move just like this one is... rushing in for a medium, then 3 light combos, but DO NOT finish the combo with neither a light nor a medium. Just dash back. Watch out for those node buffs that do damage through block and champs like Corvus that can do critical damage through block and Yondu that can bleed through block with his Yaka Arrow. @prof - I've been away from this game for quite a while and am just coming back to it. The next step from here is honing your counter heavy game. It's a great tip until you find yourself with a Node like Kinetic Tranference or the one where they increase the block penetration on both champs. It is a useful tip but not your solution for everything, it will help you progress faster on certain fights yes but that's it and it is just as useful as intercepting, parrying, dodging etc. I feel like in order to be good is to know how to adapt to the situation like in any other fighting game. If the fight requires you to be aggressive, intercept and parry but if the fights requires you to be defensive, block and dodge. And sometimes dodging it's bad as well for Spite nodes for example or buffet, sometimes parry is bad for stun inmune nodes or masochism. You just have to figure out which fighting approach for each fight you're require to use and read nodes too at least for the tough and rough champs.

Dotun Idowu Remember, “the best defence is a good offence” only applies when in games once you’re really good at it. From personal experience, it was better to focus on utility and survivability before you get all mastery points. I suggest focusing on these masteries first. 1) Limber 1, Parry Max, Dexterity 1, Stupefy Max (8 points so far) 2) Vitality 1, Greater Vitality 1, Salve Max (great for beginner levels, you can bring this down to 1 later on), Recovery Max, Block Proficiency Max (20 points so far) 3) Strength 1, Greater Strength 1, Courage 1 (optional for later), Pierce 1, Lesser Precision 1, Precision Max, Lesser Cruelty 1, Cruelty 1 (32 points so far) Keep leveling up to get Cruelty to max and remember to keep saving units so you can open more advanced masteries like Willpower, Despair, Deep Wounds, Assassin, and Glass Cannon. The mastery path I’ve recommended so far are the core of any mastery setup, the rest is up to you to experiment and find what fits your champions and playstyle. Don’t go for Stand Your Ground for now. You need to focus on other stuff right now.

Kabam has found a way to nerf every tactic. If you want to block, they'll throw out perfect block and give you chip damage. If you want to parry, they'll change timings (speed up the game) or won't give you the parry. If you want to dodge, the computer will follow up the initial dodge with a very quick 2nd attack that will hit you. If you want to hit the computer's block it will now intercept you on occasion. If you want to attack repeatedly, the computer will be passive in throwing attacks. If you want to back draft intercept the computer will intercept you instead. Guys, Kabam won 12.0. Sure they let you keep your Scarlet Witch, but then they didn't release her as a 5*. They nerfed your Thor and Strange and made you buy new champs. Kabam got everything they wanted, we got the booby prize.
