A neat way of avoiding the need to set up Power Automate is to go to OneDrive, click new and then Microsoft Form. It creates an Excel file that populates responses automatically.
@xxxHarakirixxx5 жыл бұрын
Same goes for SharePoint document libaries in modern experience. There you got also the option to create a Excel file with Forms integration. (Only shown when your user got a Forms licence)

Hi Shane, is there a way to create Forms using PowerShell? I've have thousands to create for each service a charity runs for things like daily notes of people they're caring about to equipment fault reports. They have been paper-based for several years; transitioning that data for now to Excel via MS Forms. This is until they get a care management system in place. So instead of going to manually create a bunch of Forms per service Team site, I want to be able to leverage PShell. Any ideas please ?

Shane Is there any way in Forms, I can limit respondents , for example, Q1 - Order of cakes, limited the max respondents to take this as 10 persons, after that the choice of order will be closed Eric

Not that I know of. You would need to build a Power Apps app most likely

I am trying to pull info from a MS Forms that has a long answer and email it using Power Automate but it is removing the line breaks when the user hits enter on the form. A few weeks ago I was successful doing this by using Initialize variable", hitting enter, and then creating a formula inside the email body. It was super easy and I am sure I saw how to do this on your channel but I can't find it anywhere and I forgot how to do it. If anyone know what I am talking about, can you send over the link to this video?

In question 3 of the Power Apps quiz, I think you mean "Naboo", not "Nabu". But, seriously, a great video. I'm finding more uses for Forms in places where Power Apps would be overkill, but there are a few features I wish it had. In particular, being able to populate choices in a question dynamically (e.g.: from a list of events in SharePoint, show those occurring in the future) and accepting dynamic data (e.g.: through a query string parameter) would be huge. A couple of our departments are using Forms as the means for people to register for events, so right now they need to go into the form to remove events that are full or after they occur. One of those functions would prevent that need. We will probably replace those Forms with custom Apps at some point, but don't have the bandwidth to deal with that now.

How do you do data validation in the form? In your last example of creating a user account, how do you ensure the user inputs are valid for AAD to ingest? Another example is validating an email address.

Not with Forms. You would need Power Apps or a 3rd party type of solution for a signature best I know.

Hi Shane, I've question. Is it possible to add comments if the respondent rated 3 points on a scale of 5? Please add this features, this will help people be automatically encouraged to give context, instead of us having to add extra "anything you want to add" Looking forward for your kind feedback. Microsoft Forms is quite fast and simple to setup comparing to powerapps. There is one option which I'm missing - give users option to reopen their inputs to review or edit responses. At least until I lock reposnse list (move to some other list like "responses_done"). Is there such option for MS Forms which I don't see? Maybe some kind of combination of PowerApps for list overview and forms for creating input/edit forms? I'm aware of kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYm7oGytn9N9rMU, but probably I'm looking for more elegant way for creating of CRUD app inside MS platform.
