Thank you, Shane, for your dedication to teaching PowerApps. I started learning PowerApps four months ago, and your videos have greatly helped me understand how PowerApps works, how to code, and how to create programs using it. I work as IT Support here in the Philippines. Since learning PowerApps, I can now develop applications that our office can use. Your videos have been a significant part of my programming journey, and they have helped me tremendously. More videos! More blessing to you and your family

Great stuff, as always. I found AddColumns quite useful, when it comes to add status-information for records, which are relevant to the app, but not to the DB, like IsNew or IsChanged etc.

Hey Shane, love your videos thank you, one thing youve shown before that i was reminded of in this one is where you double click on the variable name to see the table, so you can check the column names and 5abe content easily, might be helpful reminder for others?

Good idea. Maybe that would make a great short. 🤔 Thanks!

Thanks again Shane. A flashbulb Q went off during your vid re Chat GPT. You mentioned changes in the syntax that Chat GPT hadn't yet caught up with. Do you know how recent the AI engine gets info from ? It used to be 2021 which is alarming bearing in mind the speed of change. As an aside, i love this series of drilling into functions - really helps with organizing my learning path! As always buddy, the frog is very appreciative 🙂

I believe it is October 2023 but maybe they have updated again this year and I missed it. Either way, I THINK the challenge is, even though it has been trained on both syntaxes there is more content on the old way, so it doesn't know that it needs to change. 🫤 This is all my opinion. But I do wonder if you prompted it to "try the latest technique" or something if it would find the new way. Not sure. This is one of the advantages I think humans still have. Full context. When I get old code, I know about the changes and how to adjust. Checked the OpenAI docs: "GPT-4o currently has a context window of 128k and has a knowledge cut-off date of October 2023."

Shane, I am struggling with a different data shaping problem. I need to transpose a table so that I can patch it to a sharepoint list as a row. The original table will not be static, so hardcoding the Column Literal names is not an option. Any thoughts on this?
