I think this movie did an amazing job of introducing Shang chi into the mcu and it’s been a while since a marvel movie blew away my expectations. I have a soft spot for hand-to-hand combat/martial arts so this is easily up there with my top favourite marvel movies. I cannot wait to see more of Shang chi in the future!

And Kate! I'm so glad Katy got to come with Shang Chi! The only complaint I have is that Katy wasn't given enough screentime and chances to help during the third act with her cleverness and bow, but at least she's allowed to come into the MCU with Shang Chi and they still have time to let her help Shang Chi with the abilities she has and any she learns on the way. She really shines when she's right there with Shang Chi or finding ways to back him up!

Can't agree more The way they were shown was so good And they also made the martial arts really important The Chinese culture and the Chinese Mythical and Mystical creatures were discovered very nicely And this wasn't only about Shang Chi And Wenwu, though being different from the Comics' Mandarin, was so good villain. He had a very good motive and I liked him very much. Tony just blew it And Simu Liu also showed what he is Meng'er, debuting with this film, showed what she really is Awkwafina was a very fun character Trevor's appearance was a very good return after All Hail The King Wong's appearance was also nice especially in Mid Credit Scene Best mid credit scene and dangerous post credit scene

Shang-Chi was a great story and the main theme was perfect!! The movie had an amazing backstory, the actor himself is gorgeous, and the story mixed in fantastical East Asian folklore and mythology. It was the perfect blend of magic and heroism!

Personally, I gave it an 8.5. The visuals, fight choreography, OST and MC were really good! I just felt like there was a little something to be desired story wise. 7/10, movie was WAY better than I thought it was going to be. While I found the story a little derivative and the sudden raise in stakes to world destroying creating tonal dissonance, I thought the acting was great, the cinematography was sublime, music goosebump inducing and probably the best fight choreography in the entire MCU.

Best origin movie since CA: The First Avenger in my opinion. Fantastic characters that were brought to life excellently by a wonderful cast. The visuals were gorgeous, and the soundtrack was goosebump-inducing. Excellent pacing, and I loved how it transitioned from a street fighter martial arts movie to a really spiritual Chinese fantasy story.

Love this music. Thank you for making 30 mins. I love the movie, but I did get upset with Katie (his long time friend. I was like "Take the shot!!!" "Ooooo my God shot.....shot...
