Shani Louk’s father at the StandWithUs Center | 'Faces of October 7th' exhibition

German-Israeli Shani Louk (22) was kidnapped and murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7 while at the Nova Festival in southern Israel. In May 2024, her body was recovered by the IDF from Gaza and returned to Israel.
Shani’s father, Nissim, took part in our 'Faces of October 7th' exhibition in the StandWithUs Katz Education Center, in Jerusalem, and shared this powerful message.

I am amazed by the naivety of people who support one side against the other. Both sides have blood on their hands. I still remember this girl, her story, her name and her death. Of course, there were and are many people who died a terrible death. But for some reason, it was her story, the barbarity with which she was treated, that touched me. This is such a level of savagery, words cannot find. I am afraid to live on the same planet with inhuman, cruel barbarians. I am very afraid and I will not calm down until I die.
