Shania is not Cree, she is white. Her mother married a native man and her parents were killed in a car accident. She has a treaty card because the reserve gave her one. Some of the sibblings are native but Shania and one of her sisters are from a previous marriage or relationship. I read her book. She is a very beautiful lady.
