The way she phrases here vocal runs and her melodic deliver of her clever and impactful lyrics. Combined with a voice that has it all. Power. Softness. Urgency. Passion. Sensuality. It’s a combination that we’ve only seen by a handful of singers. Ever. And she’s right at the top of that list

Impactful lyrics? Gonna get you good, don't even try to run, it a matter of time, im gonna get you even tho you already inside... they sound subliminal like a conspiracy to enslave humanity. She grew up in a generation where she heard even better song lyrics on the radio and was inspired. This cross-generational learning is weakening from decade to decade. Today, kids are inspired by bad song lyrics, which can lead to even more rubbish being produced. I won't even start on AI. This cross-generational learning of AI will also weaken and will quote and weaken itself from generation to generation... I'll call it artificial inbreeding.

I remember my mother loved Shania Twain when I was a kid, and she had the Red and Green version CDs to play in the car. At the time I didn't know who Shania Twain was because I was only 5-6 years old, I just remembered a select few lyrics and a pretty woman on red and green CDs. Coming back and hearing Shania Twain all over again feels surreal, because not only is she a great singer and beautiful, but it reminds of one of the very few good memories I had with my mother growing up.

I remember myself being a big fan of Shania Twain in the late 90's. I am still a huge fan. Her latest album "Now" was different from her earlier stuff musically but I still love the album very much. I have also started to love "Up" even more. One of the reasons to love Shania is her positive lyrics and melodies. "Up!" has only one song about heart-break. Most of her songs are much fun. They bring smile to my face when I am down. When I listen to Shania I know "I'm Gonna Get Some Good!". She lost her voice in some point, she had a divorce and still "Now" is a very optimistic album about future. Of course there are songs about heartbreak but most artists would have cried through the album. Another country artist Sara Evans also had a divorce, her songs were much sadder after that. It is still OK because we all experience sad things in a different way. This song is maybe my favorite Shania Twain song and one of my favorite songs of 2000's.

I saw her live in the 90s a few times and she’s always better in person, than what she’s recorded. First class entertainer. 2022 and her music is still relevant and amazing.

The first time I heard her sing, she was performing somewhere.......unbelievable! I made sure to listen to all her songs.

She is the meaning of beauty.
@petershaw44688 жыл бұрын
true that. she's not just beautiful in looks, she is also beautiful in heart. I should know as I personally met her when she was part of the half time show of the superbowl in 2003. as I was a member of the half time show stage team. and I was station where she got onto the stage. I had to make sure she didn't fall off the lift under the stage.

and you probably learnt that whole truth about her heart being beautiful by seeing it radiate all the goodness through her buttocks as you were making sure she wont fall down the steps

The song has been used for a couple of Fran Fine / Maxwell Sheffield (The Nanny) fan videos, and if you're familiar with the show, you can see how it fits (although, Fran wasn't always as confident as this song sounds). And, Fran and Shania even look somewhat alike!

I'm from Serbia, she is less known here, I literally know only one person besides me that listen her. I don't know how I started, but I know I will never stop listening. Today hits lasts one year or less, but songs like this will last forever. Shania is in my top 3 artist ever, and I thank her for that :)
