Shanice’s classmates used to make fun of her smile, and she ended up smiling all the way up the charts and into the bank with a classic hit.😂 Joke’s on them.

How could they not discuss her gift and instrument in depth? Shanice had perfect pitch and a range and power similar to Mariah and Whitney. Her voice was on that level she wasn't just a singer she was a true vocalist that labels did not know what to do with. Its criminal she was not a superstar she had the IT factor.

I had to come in & post after re-watching this again.. I have genuine tears rolling down my face.. I absolutely love Shanice! From her winning "Star Search" to the crazy hairstylist doing the exact same hairstyle on her as Janet Jackson's from the "Pleasure Principle" video to her getting smooched by Ralph Tresvant & all of those older girls wanting to beat her up for it to all of those people who hated her smile then flipped it & made her first hit & "smiled" all the way to the bank to the crazy pitfalls of the industry to act like pregnancy is gross to "Every Woman Dreams" (Take Care of U is my jam off that entire album) to losing everything & coming back up with genuine friends who are solely in your corner & just lastly being married to the most beautiful person who is everything & thensome is an enormous feat to accomplish.. This warmed my heart so much! ❤❤❤❤

I agree with Shanice, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE JAPAN. I first got over there around 2011 and, all the worries of life within American cities was next to none existent in Japan. Restaurant and bar hopping, navigating city alleyways and riding the train at night, not having to worry about nonsense happening, was incredible. Their 7-eleven meals were a culture shock to me by how delicious they were. I met so many Americans over there who had no intention of moving back to the US. 😂

I was working as an EA for an accounting firm. I was taken around to introduce myself to staff members. I met one woman and I extended my hand and said, hello so pleased to me you. That woman looked me up and down, would not take my hand and she cleared he throat. I turned around and went on my way. A bit of back story both of us are African-Americans. We are working in the C-suite a very certain kind of space. Said woman had done some thing that could have gotten her fired. I told one of our mutual workmates and asked her not to tell her it came from me. Much later she was at a work event with me and we sat together. I asked her why she was so rude to me initially. She said you have pretty teeth, and you are always smiling and so friendly like you are always happy.😅😅😅 if she only knew my whole world was falling apart.
