Are all dinners like this in the UK? Even when you had your tayas family over they sat alone to eat. It's really odd. You are always with your family at home so when u have a davat it's nice to sit with the guests....no?

Im sure he didnt record that (or might share later on) But no all dawats are not like this. Its same as how it happens in Pakistan. Come over, sit down, eat food, talk with friends/family, have chai. Atleast at hour house people tend to spend 3-4 hours before they decide to leave. About sitting alone at the table (just his family) its basically so the homeowners leave you guys alone so you dont feel awkward while eating. This way you can eat whatever you want without feeling shy.
