I'm like as excited for your big chop as I am about my own! Every time you upload a video I'm like "ooooh maybe she got impatient and just big chopped already" lol. I've been watching a couple of big chop videos and everyone always says you'll know when your ready to big chop. But like my biggest fear is getting to November when I plan to big chop and feeling like I don't want to do it. Even though I'm so over transitioning it still makes me anxious.

It'll be 3 years in nov which is also my bday. So I'm debating if I want to big chop in the beginning before my bday or towards the end of the month after my bday. I had a heat damage set back about a year ago so that's why it's taken so long but I honestly am ready to just get rid of these straight ends. Like seeing my natural hair makes me so happy but it's attached to these annoying straight ends. Ugh the struggle lol.

I've been transitioning for about 9 1/2 months. I have a 3b 3c frizzy texture.I've cut my hair off this short in the past.After about 6 months I relaxed my hair my hair because I was never comfortable with how short it was. It's hard transitioning but I know that I'll go through with it this time thanks to the help of French broads and box braids. I love how dense and thick your hair is!

I understand your frustration I couldn't do it anymore. So after I took my box braids out I big chopped after a year and a week of transitioning and I'm loving it. I can't wait until your big chop. I thought the video you put up a few weeks ago was your big chop but it was your friends, and I bet she's loving the turn out of her big chop as well as I think you will too. When you do yours in Early or Late August.

Honestly you're my inspiration for holding on to transitioning a little bit longer. I am also about 21 months post (2 weeks shy) and still have maybe 60% relaxed hair. I would like to make it to 2 years but that would be during my first month back at college and I don't want to big chop while I'm in school so I'll probably do it early August the latest. I'm so over dealing with the two textures but I'm pushing to hold on a little bit longer!

I big chopped last month after one year transitioning and ot has been the best thing I've ever done. I transitioned with braids like you amd when I took down my last set of braids I was 100% ready to cut it all off. And so I did. My hair looks just like yours. I'm a mixture of 3b at the crown. 3c at the front and 4a at the sides amd rest of my hair with some 4b mixed into there at all. I have gotten so many complements. And all I do are wash and goes. I'm too lazy for all that braiding and twisting every night. Some days I pick it out and i get a bigger afro but most days I wear it in it's shrunken curly state.

Wow, I did the same thing recently around 16 months post relaxer lol. Big chopped my nape! It was just too tangly and I barely had any relaxed hair left in the nape anyway. My goal is to make it to at least 2 years as well! My initial goal was 3 years, but I ain't gonna make it lol!

OMG! I don't know how you do that, I mean, deal with both textures of hair. I have 3b curly hair and I couldn't. My big Chop was 1 year later since my last relaxed. Has been almost 2 years natural and I love my hair. My little brother hate it and he says I looked better with straight hair. But all the people asks me ... ¿How do you get your hair like that? and I'm just... well you know is just my natural hair... and of course deep conditioning. I'm happy for you.

Well I'm really excited to see your big chop and surprised at how long the natural part of your hair is. Some advice I have for you is that your braids if you want them to still stay fresh longer don't mess with them a lot ... Well at least that what I do I don't wash them that often but when I do I clean it as well as I can. It also depends on the hair you use and I use X-speresion hair and I can keep them inbfor about 3 months. And a question I have is if you wash you braids to much could they your hair end up matting up with the weave? That's my only fear. Good luck on big chop can't wait to see 😋

because of you i'm also going natural but i did like a semi big chop to get right of my lengt, and its sooo weird seeing my hair curl dont you feel the same ? it amazes me i can look at it for hours lol. btw how do you moisture your hair when wearing a sew in ? with boxbraids it easy but when my own hair is in crochet braids its so much harder.

semmi98 I persobally didn't Moisturize, my braids only my leave out. But you can put your moisturizer in a spray bottle wth warm water and spritz your hair.. not sure how effective that is but thats what most people do.

Protective styling will keep your hands out of your hair for sure! Braids, twists, weave etc
