This clip was taken during a Shankill Protestant Boys Flute Band 35th Anniversary Event. It begins with a drum solo, played by 5 of the youngest members of the band, & show's the talent, & courage, as it is not easy to do this in front of such a big crowd, these young lads have. Following this there is a selection of tunes played by some members dressed in the very first S.P.B uniform.
The Shankill Protestant Boys Flute Band is easily one of the most recognisable bands in Northern Ireland, with over 100 members & mass community, both here, in Scotland, England & elsewhere, support.
Those within this band take great pride in Themselves, their Community, their History & their Culture, & for that reason they are welcomed wherever they parade.
