I am renaming SMP as (Singing Master Piece ) . She is a born Singer. Indian Idol is very small to her level. Her level is "International Singing IDOL". There are so many songs of Shanmukhapriya that have not been uploaded like "bhare naina", "chum chum", "dil dhadakne do", "gustakh dil". I still recoil in shock when I think of her final 6 positioning...just the three performances above would have catapulted her above any one else....in the first sone her unique yodelling is just supreme...and then in the second very difficult song she comes out wonders and in the third with the musical piece she just created magic.Yes Javed sir computerised indeed only that she is very much human and a real wonder...God bless you SMP for giving your fans so much joy in these dark covid times.

It is not the matter of liking or not, SMP is an excellent singer. But the songs that she performed during the Indian Idol show did not meet the criteria they want in the show to be a winner. The Indian culture and music have many aspects it is really wide and extensive. where the music styles that the contestants performed during the show covered differents periods of Indian history. They wanted them to sing varieties of songs from different periods, including classical, Gazal, soulful, sufi, qawalli, and old songs. This means, to represent Indian culture and not only modern era. Also they are looking for certain singing abilities, that were shown by some other contestants. SMP is outstanding on stage, she was trained on classial music , but I have not noticed her challenging Sayli, Arunita, Anjali and others in the same types of songs that they performed during the show. That was unfortunate, and she mentioned that she regrets because she was not much concentrated, as now after the show is over. Her last performances were very special, Kay sara song during Kvita and kumar Sanu episode and the song during Super Dancer 4 show were her Top performances this year, SMP has all the qualities to sing professionally as any famous singer here in USA. Best wishes to be soon singing here or in any other country in the world, you deserve that !!!!!
