At the time the song was at #94 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; five weeks earlier it had peaked at #49 {for 1 week}, and it spent 15 weeks on the Top 100... And on May 19th, 1985 it reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart... On the same 'Bandstand' show she also performed "Urgent", it peaked at #68 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart... Shannon, born Shannon Brenda Greene, celebrated her 59th birthday one month ago on May 2nd, 2017...
