Jeeeeez! Every single song is a hit! This is freakin' insane! Guitar: I love the huge, stereo reverb guitar chords along with the the clean chord stabs and the chorused lead guitar melodies... and the raking clean arpeggios! So much guitar! I'm hearing 3 or 4. Bass: The bass tone and flow is insane, just like the last tunes. The dynamics and rhythmic accents are perfect (mixing rest and free strokes). Only masterful bass players pay close attention when to END a note and Sam certainly does this. Do I hear an octaver or is it a 5-string or synth? Pretty sure it's an octaver. Dat compression doe! Drums: Of course, the drums are tight and purposeful. They serve the song well. I like the snare/clap blending. Keys: The guitar swells and keyboard pads are a perfect blend of atmosphere. I feel like an ice cube melting in a hot rainstorm. Vocals: Now, that's what makes the cake sweet. Focused and direct when needed and surrounding like a hug at other times. A perfect frosting on a perfectly baked, rich cake of sound! :)
