@brownskin1oo It’s not a woman’s job to keep a man happy or to continually stroke a man’s ego either. It’s a two-way street but society continues to push this narrative that all a man has to do is put a roof over your head, food on the table, and clothes on your back. Women have revolved however men haven’t at the same rate. Woman are requiring more substance than money. Men haven’t been taught, trained, and coerced to be better. Hence the struggle.

I agree with Shannon about not living up to what society tells you is the right thing to do. Everybody dont wanna be married or have children, that doesnt make them lonely or sad. Example: If i wanna live alone, that doesnt mean im lonely. If i DON'T wanna live alone, but i do, thats LONELY.

You can tell Shannon has been burned in the past by myself. He’s given his heart to some of these women and things haven’t gone as planned. I’m sure there was wrong on both sides because I was partly to blame for my relationship’s failures as well but you’re not going to continue putting yourself in a situation that hasn’t worked for you in the past. No one knows you better than yourself. This guy is a lot older now and really just wants his peace of mind and freedom. I’m sure he’s seen and endured it all by now. I can respect that.

When you unpack situations like this, you gradually uncover that people like Shannon who value money over relationships are just fearful of what they cannot control. They go after money because of what it can give them, material items and power..Going after relationships leaves a person vulnerable with uncertainty which scares someone who need to be in control. Once Shannon is honest about what and who makes him happy and trust that person with his heart, he'll take the leap but until then, he'll make every excuse to remain single..
@torysims5032
@torysims5032 8 ай бұрын
And the reverse of that is a person who doesn’t mind giving up money, power and control as long as they arent alone. A person who goes from relationship to relationship because they cant be with themselves and constantly need validation from others through relationships🤷🏽 Hopefully people can find a balance- if not, pick your poison😂
@Happysquared74
@Happysquared74 8 ай бұрын
It isn't a binary choice. I' would simply say the reverse of that is having and honoring values in your life, submitting to, and honoring the responsibilities and blessings you have been given. Plenty of monetarily successful husbands and fathers/ grandfathers out there, but the celebration of their legacies isn't in bust form, but living and breathing throughout the generations of their bloodlines. Sadly many may not understand how to seek and maintain healthy relationships with women or their children, but committing to being successful in them is a great start. In my opinion, it seems that Shannon has resigned himself to being a winner on the field and a loser off. Whereas someone like a Deion and Ocho resolved to be successful leaders in all aspects of their lives, period. Mindset is everything. @@torysims5032

This is absolutely true. It’s the reverse of the “independent woman that don’t need a man” convo. Ppl are afraid of genuine love so they’ll settle for the relationships that don’t challenge their view on love or will settle for who they can control and for men it’s usually a gold digger and when it’s the HOBOsexual lbvs
