Jalen Hurts has 29 Total TD's, 3068 total yards, 5 total turnovers and they are 11-2 . The Eagles are playing winning football. Yes, Hurts can take riskier throws, but why? What is the point when you win while controlling the clock and the ball? Sirianni and Howie Roseman need to sit AJ and Smitty down and straight up say "We made you two the highest paid WR tandem because we understand your value. You are incredibly important on opening this up. What is more important to you, Winning or individual stats?"

He happy they winning but not throwing at all is a recipe for disaster come post season. Overly relying on the run has analytically proven to be ineffective in the playoffs. As a quarterback in a game like this how do you manage like making sure AJ feels like he’s getting enough, DeVonta, and obviously Saquon?" @Shaz19733 күн бұрын
People say Hurts is gun-shy? Maybe he is doing what he is being coached to do. I can definitely imagine the coaches saying, “don’t put the ball at risk. Spread the ball around.” But with only 20/21 passing attempts, every pass is a premium. He completed 14/21. That’s 67%. If he completed just two more of those passes that’s 76%! That’s higher than the highest season completion percentage in NFL History. The funny thing is he would probably have a higher completion percentage and many more yards if he force fed the ball to AJ and Smitty. BUT he would also have more INTs. We have a formula for winning. Can it be tweaked? Sure! But we aren’t going to start throwing the ball 30 times a game or higher. What we really need is a better script for the first 15 plays. We called two QB runs in a row that went nowhere. Maybe if we got AJ and Smitty involved early by scheming them open we would not have these issues. But we have time to figure it out. Not a lot, but we do have time. (But maybe the coaches want to keep it vanilla until the playoffs?)

What’s really confusing to me is that AJ is actually on pace to mirror his first 2 seasons in PHI statistically… he’s just missed a few games so total production is down a bit. Obviously with the addition of Saquon, his targets would go down a hair, but not suprisngly, his efficiency on those targets are way up. He’s actually balling and on a 1,511 yard pace if you take out the 1/3 Jacksonville game where he got hurt. Lol

I've seen this so many times over the years and it really speaks to his inability to get out of his own way, even though that trait has taken himself out of the media business once before.
