I see both sides tbh. If you reach the level of doing makeup for a large network it’s safe to say you’re fairly experienced. The problem is a lot of these makeup artist don’t take the time or care to learn how to do darker skin tones , hence the undertone mismatch. That to me is a fireable offense because you don’t get to work at one of largest tech companies if you only can code certain things. However as a makeup artist I can relate to doing work that you look back at and don’t love.
