let me help Shannon out. Luka style of play is not remotely designed around being super lean . It may give him a little more speed but at the cost of how he is efficient moving players or taking lots of contact and still perform. He loses weight and he gets moved around. He has a distinct advantage with his weight getting in the key and being physical. People are visual and they think if he doesn’t look cut up he’s fat. Black athletes will always be leaner genetically, other than Zion. Bottom line you change one thing and something else does get affected there is no plus plus. Something gets compromised.

Well I’m not a Celtics or Mavs but I watched this series from the start. Celtics did not show up energy wise at all. They were flat from the beginning in Game 4. I noticed the officiating was not down the middle after about 6 mins into the first quarter. That will not happen again in Game 5. It’s okay to have an off game or play bad. Mavs definitely showed up and showed out from the beginning. Adjustments were made and they figured out how the Celtics were playing. The Celtics had the same game plan games 1,2, and 3 according to my observation. I could be wrong tho lol no expert. But I’m not sure if they can win 3 more games straight before the Celtics catch on and make adjustments. I also don’t see Kyrie showing up the same way in Boston. Luka has a very short fuse so all it takes is for Kyrie’s shots to not drop to throw everything off. Game 3 was the game to win for the Mavs. Anything is possible but I’m looking at all of the things stacked against the Mavs at this point. If they would have won Game 3 this would be a different conversation.

The blow by stuff is getting way too much air time. Luka's defensive game is dependent on getting close to the players that he is guarding in order to try and get deflections and steals. That being said, some of what is being said is correct, and Luka needs to learn which players he can play up close on, and which ones he needs to give more space. And I expect Luka to be somewhat out of shape right now, as its hard to remain in shape when you are injured. But if the Mavs defense is about funneling offensive players into rim protectors, then I am not sure how you can blame all of the blow byes on Luka?

MAVS were winning by 26 in the 1st half LUKA 25 points - 10/18 FG carrying MAVS. KYRIE 11 points - 5/12 FG was horrible. HE only start scoring when MAVS were 30 points ahead as well...
