I’m an employer I had to take an employee aside to tell her nicely “I am not your Auntie, please don’t call me Auntie. I’m your employer”. People who grow up privileged can not comprehend or appreciate basic and down home southern charm, hospitality, respect, honor and discipline. My mother-in-law was privileged to spend time getting free box tickets to football games and such. If Shannon was gay, we would know already. Shannon was raised by his grandparents, from the Traditionlist Generation. He was raised with the norms of faith, honesty, duty respect, and integrity. These attributes are the foundation of his identity. When someone is brought up with those norms they will seem different in today's society. People get a grip!
