@@rojayreid908 , everything isnt about making millions of dollars. That's what's wrong with people nowadays. All they care about is being wealthy. Shannon is talking about goals and putting in the effort to achieve a goal. Most of us won't be a millionaire and Shannon's wealth comes from his career in the NFL and after the NFL. He wanted to be a good NFL football player and a good media host. Everything else is a byproduct of his effort and hard work in sports and entertainment. Everybody can't be Shannon. You have to be you. It's not a failure to not be rich. If that was the case, most of the world are failures.

Shannon just described the world today. People want everything and complain about other people having everything while they don't--YET will not put in the effort it takes to get it. Entitlement with little to no labor. Shannon was on fire with the goal testimony. You can tell he meant it with his soul and people today need to hear it instead of crying on social media.

Family, Shannon is correct. He has no choice but to be in a good mood daily. Look at how he grew up. He was able to do what many others that grew up in similar circumstances in Glenville GA, wasn't able to do. He wasn't the only black Family in the town to not have indoor plumbing, raining in the house, making $2.50 a week. It's not common to have 2 pro athletes from the same circumstances make it. They had an amazing determination and drive to preservere to take care of their family. You have to stop making excuses for why you can't and make steps to say why you can. It all starts with a positive mind. And a positive minds seeks positive things.

I am just chilling in London here in the UK, and I am big fan of Shannon, but Ocho is my guy too. They are typical of our race. This reminds me of back home in the Caribbean, sitting in our block out on the street on Fridays late into the night but having important discussions on every subject a person could think of. The block on our street was where young men were educated on the basics of life. But we also had important discussions on history and on every creed, race and culture. And many of us went to uni. From the streets to university.

I am an 80s child and I remember growing up as a young boy in 1979 and early 80s when bus fees were 10 cent in the Caribbean and when a person got a dollar or £1 pound that was huge, that was massive, it could feed about 10 young boys on the street, happy days. No computers nor Internet, no phones, no TV, just a small transistor radio to listen to the BBC World News. Those days were quality and guys were more intelligent, figuring out things for ourself and experimenting on our own. We were like scientist in our own right.

I agree with you, unc, that people need to be very clear about what they are willing to do. In evaluations, we employ a logic model that outlines the outcomes and the necessary actions to achieve them. This is what we refer to as evaluative thinking - considering the rationale behind our actions, including whether they will yield the desired results. However, it's important to acknowledge the presence of known unknowns that can potentially delay progress, and despite this, we should all persevere.
