I have judged many pageants. This is why she won talent and Miss Continental: She performed Solo. She Slayed the lip sync. She new the judges loved Erica Andrews and was smart to bring some of Erica's performance here. She dressed perfect for the part she was portraying. The MOST important is:. She kept it simple enough that she commanded that all judges eyes were on her and knew she could not make mistakes.

Agreed! Continental is a beauty pageant. They want you to look stunning, slay your lip sync, look expensive and actually listen to the question from Q&A and answer it! Continental is not USofA or EOY where your talent has to be over the top. Talent is a key component at Continental but they don’t wanna see 25 dancers on stage and a bunch of props. Shantelle always did JLo in the past with at least 6-8 dancers. Sis studied the system: performed solo, slayed her lip sync, looked stunning and her wardrobe looked luxurious and expensive. And she won 🏆 Well deserved ❤
