Ms. Shanty, this is an instance you should have taken your husband's advice and not put this on FB. Based off watching your videos and being a fan for about a yr now. There is definitely riffs whoever started it doesn't even matter. You all are on a world stage NOT around the corner in a Trinidad rum shop. This type of behavior shows Trinidad is not ready in 2022 for a world stage exposure. It is unproductive not to mention lacking in class when the world is watching. You believe in God and there are times which by what your own husband's intuition showed needed to be dealt with in private......take it to the Lord in prayer. To be fair looking at the both sides I can see where the other lady was highly showcased in some big media exposure worldwide. Even I was wondering how come chef Jason and others went to her and not by you.This is just drama and highly unnecessary. WWJD? The name calling and harsh words to those who comments who seem to have questioned you was just awful. Why allow others to provoke you? Your response to them is a reflection of who you are not them. People are free to express themselves even when they don't agree with us. An insulting match is not the way to go. I am disappointed to see where this situation has gone, and as a woman who starts her video with a prayer should have taken the high road.

I thought the same thing. I started watching Shanty about a yr now ,my mother is Trinidadian born and told me this was the style of cooking of the old days. Trying to learn a bit of Trini culture. Had no clue about the lady until Davidsbeenhere, chef Jason, Mark Weins and didn't even know she had a channel. For Ms. Shanty to make such a video and allow this type of negativity, down right awful behavior is quite disturbing. Did the lady say something to offend her? Cause after this drama I decided to check out the lady's page. Seems like drama is being created and jealousy is alive......which side is coming from is left up to those who can be unbiased.
