Love getting 19% grabs with the dark priest active, and if they don’t want to be grabbed you got his mid string into KB. I just wish he had some strings without gaps. Man has gaps on almost every string

Hey man thank you for the Shao video it was really appreciated! 😁. Speaking as someone who has been a Shao main since day one, he has gotten a lot better but he still has the slowest combo starter and projectile in the game plus the most flawless gaps in his combos he can be a real challenge, especially when he can get out-damaged by Kotal, Spawn and Noob in most predicaments... really fun combos though and a monster at mid-range.

As a Shao Khan main since day 1, I can tell people have been downgrading him alot but he is very fun to play, has the dopest armors in the game and ya guys see what he got ? He has a B O N K hammer, you can't expect more from our Emperor Shao Khan - Ruler Of Outworld. Also that armor break at 2:26 , you can extend it more with back 3 after the armor break jump forward 2 then back 2 run cancel back 2 Annihilation or just back 3 after the armor break then run up back 2 back 2 Annihilation

This was a dope video bro, money match was intense lol. Shao is scary...until you learn where to flawless block. I've been spending alot of time getting better at flawless blocks. Definitely an under used feature in my opinion. Would love to see some Terminator gameplay. Idk whos mix up is better his or subzero lmao.

Now that he can cancel after flawless blocked moves (which I dont think he could do originally but might be wrong) means that fbs are not that detrimental imo. Sure, fb up3 can take 90 damage from him but he has 100 extra health and is going to catch up when he hits you anyway. I hate shaos, playing you is the same stress level as playing a jax with fb but from the start of the round :D.

Where's the match we all spent channel points on? Anyway, Shao is still low, but he's not the lowest, his health pool and damage kind of help put him above the likes of Rambo and Mileena, not sure if I'd say bottom 5 but close. Problem is there are so many "average" characters and the top tiers just stand out from that by a fair margin. So most of the worst are a little more like "aggressively average".

I might be wrong, but you just proved that Shao is still lower tier. Despite his really good damage sometimes he's just unable to land a hit. There are match ups where Shao do pretty well. Some characters do not havee an answer to his max range b3 for example. First iteration where you couldnt cancel his f34 string was absolutely dog shit, now this mid string still have flawless block gap guessing game when JB, for example, does not have those problems with her 9 frame mid string. Sure you can win with shao no questions, but you have to have some other advantage: match up knowledge, lack of opponent practice against shao or straight up higher skill level, but when skill is somewhat even you gotta work your ass off when at the same time your opponent does f2-3 - bf4 on cetrion. In my opinion this is what defines low tier.
