Thank you for making and sharing this video, Mr. Chang. I've watched a few videos about this Jake guy's fakery and they're basically all good videos, but I like that you present and explain in detail what exactly proves that he can't (or at least doesn't) do what he claims to have great expertise in. Also, I've always been a fan of watching things you want to learn about (or from) in slow motion. These slow motion sequences are helpful even if you already know what he does wrong and they make it easier to explain and show to others what he does wrong - why he's a fake (because there's no way he can't himself be aware of what he does wrong; he just continue doing it wrong because he can't do it right, and by doing it wrong he can make it look like he's doing it right - at least for people who haven't yet learned how to spot what is real and what isn't. .......... 2:27 That's what I noticed too: His student is cooperating, acting on cue. Getting 'good' abs from taking these punches? That's hilarious, lol. As you write, that comes from training and a good diet... obviously! Honestly, how can this guy fool anybody? I mean, of course he may be able to fool someone who has never trained and doesn't know what to look for, but most people who watch Martial Arts videos on KZbin do have some knowledge about it. I think what we see here (and in some other videos that expose fake sensei's/teachers/sifu's/i.e. experts) shows very clearly how important it is for someone who seeks to begin training and learning a Martial Arts school/system to do research on the reputation not only of the school he is interested in, but in the teachers at that school as well - and not least in the founders of that particular school, even if it represents a well known and respected system. Do not EVER act on an immediate impression or because someone impress you during your first meeting. Take your time, it will benefit you many fold in the long scheme of things. -- I wish you all the best in your lives and time ahead.

I don't know the specifics of the technique as taught in other styles. We do use it as a breaking technique because it's more challenging. Because the fist is positioned so close to the target the explosive force has to be supplied by the body and not just the shoulder, arm and fist. The body has to explode or the break will not happen. The power starts from the floor and moves up. This should be the case in every strike but the one inch punch especially won't work without it. But sometimes I think the power of the strike is exaggerated. In the video the people being hit by it are standing with both feet forward and side by side instead of one foot forward and one foot back. In a proper fighting stance the impact of the strike would not send a person flying.

don't point your fingers at me! I'm not the one telling the whole world to master every Kung Fu style there is (even the ones that are forbidden to be taught outside of China) and I'm not the one telling the world that 5 minute video lessons can replace 20 years + of any martial art or combative arts training and skewing that as REAL, INCREDIBLE and AMAZING. Jake is, I'm not.

+ravyen2 fighting it's not the correct answer. the question is, Fake mace is pretending only to make money. a real master doesn't do that kind of thing. a real m.a. master is also a "life coach", a "living example". I've been trained for 2 years GRATIS, "FOR FREE" because i cannot at the time pay my coach. He trained me however

It's funny, all this talk of how Jake has enraged the Chinese when, fact is, most Chinese don't give a flying fuck about Kung Fu. Then, we're shown some supposed "master" who talks a lot of nonsense about "chi". I've trained in both Chi Kung AND inch punching. Chi Kung is for health, it won't give you magic powers of combat. Inch punch training is to increase power from short distances, NOT to be some sort of secret weapon. Kinda like training to sprint half a mile if you need to sometimes run a quarter mile. Oh, and there are various kinds of punches that can be trained with so-called "inch power", not just the way you describe.

So a 1 inch punch from a lightweight person would be harder and produce more "organ damage" than Mike Tyson's jab? I don't see people being "launched" several meters. I see how they receive very unpleasant short punches to their sternums and stagger backwards.
@daboodeef1799 жыл бұрын
One thing that made me automatically believe that he was a fake was the fact that he stresses muscular training when he "teaches" Taiji and Bagua. Taiji and Bagua are internal arts where power is derived from whole body and jing, qi, shen. the "1-inch" punch has been done for centuries because in internal arts you learn to generate power from short distances, where your hand is, is where you strike from. So if your fist is 0 to 6 inch from person that is where your strike starts, no pull back before strike. also people need to realize that when you see people fly back that is them being nice. in real fight you use short-power

After watching a few of Jake the Mace"s videos most people will catch on to him NOT being a master. One of the obvious things is he does not mention his martial arts teachers. I am 11 generation Daoist Zuì Quán 8 immortals drunken fist disciple and his stance bending over holding cup is wrong, shows me his lower back is weak. He says his video is Daoist Zuì Quán yet he has Shaolin logo on video. Btw, the 1 inch punch is from Xing Yi Quán and Wing Chun put it into their fighting system. Sorry, but Wing Chun didn't invent the 1 inch punch, it was around before Wing Chun. And, to point something else out about Wing Chun it started with " Red Boat " by 2 monk's who escaped not a female. There is documentation on this. 🗣️ Research things before learning. ⛩️☯️✊🤲🦵💪🤜🤛🙈🙉🙊

Mr Chang, This is Dr. Zee Lo, do you have his permission to use him in your video?
@hermanchang590010 жыл бұрын
your missing the point, maybe you should be asking Jake Mace whether or not he has permission from any leading kung fu associations for him to make any claim as fact on every style he's either faked or plagiarised so far. he disregards safety, this video is to prove a point, the documentary footage you seen in this video is available to the public on youtube and it's public information, not a secret so I am not violating any copy rights, and I'm not selling my videos for money, unlike Jake Rydberg Mace WHO IS SELLING HIS VIDEOS FOR MONEY
@markwright356910 жыл бұрын
I do not care what he does either way. I recognize you have a valid issues with him. My point is this: why not promote what you believe rather than discredit him? All you are doing is getting him more followers. Everyone else is just doing their thing. Everyone already knows what he is about. You are not going to change anyones mind. Informing people is great, but making it a personal issue? Think about this - You can not be disrespected unless you accept the disrespect.
@hermanchang590010 жыл бұрын
personal issue? more like a national threat! I'm expressing what many in China would say but unable to say it because their country's politics banned youtube and facebook, which is what Jake's betting on, if he's allowed to do what he's doing to steal content and selling it for a fact, then what is going to happen in 10 years time? Jake claiming to be the American founder of kung fu and sue the Shaolin Temple because it doesn't have copy right. I don't care about changing people's minds, I stand for what is right even if the method isn't, Jake will go down. you say people already know what he is about? there are 16 yearold kids in England posting on youtube saying "you can really learn to defend yourself and not spend 5 years + learning traditional martial arts" it's kids like that, that believe what they see on youtube (Jake's videos) that's going to get themselves killed when some thug pulls a knife out
@mredwardgibbon9 жыл бұрын
+Mark Wright It is likely that Jake is no doctor, however he should really care more about other peoples' health and quality of life. With regards to one inch punches, there is nothing wrong with someone learning the technique. However, without the proper training, you could seriously injure or harm yourself or others. That's why there has always been the practice of learning smaller, easier styles and conditioning exercises FIRST before slowly progressing from one advanced technique to the next. Jake may mean well, but I think he would get better feedback and results if he worked with a specialist in these sort of matters.

Oh pleeease. Any video criticising another martial artist that includes talk of chi immediately loses my respect. Undoubtedly Jake did not describe much of the nuance in this punch (and I note that your video also fails to go into much detail about the two most important aspects - the use of the core and the timed contraction of the muscles to provide explosive initiation, and a devastating delivery). Jake doesn't really seem like he's claiming to replace the instruction of a good instructor, but if you're already under instruction, he might just inspire you. To be honest, I am coming to the conclusion that he's just a parrot with a great body and lots of athletic ability, but "offended Chinese people" - really? Chinese people need to get out more then. It's particularly hilarious for YOU to menton that, whilst proudly talking about your JKD heritage. Didn't the founder of JKD also "offend Chinese people" by popularising their art and bastardising it to make JKD? You need to think before setting up a channel dedicated to attacking another martial artist. But then, I've noticed that martial arts and hypocrisy often go hand in hand.
@hermanchang590010 жыл бұрын
I'm dedicated to attacking another man, especially a con-man is Jake Rydberg 'Mace' because there is nothing real about him except his athleticism, and the fact that he regularly climbs mountains in China and claims to be the founder of some mystified kung fu style nobody's heard of, or messing up chinese words to fool non-chinese speakers what fist is what. that's what I'm most offended by and why I stand by the fact that because he is not authorised by any lineage or any association to legitimize his kung fu, I mean he even made up bird style kung fu. so enough said.
@hermanchang590010 жыл бұрын
chinese people are offended because in 10 years time he's gonna slap a copyright on his bullshit and go sue the Shaolin Temple for Jake is the originator of Kung Fu, you can identify he is a parrot with a good body but that's enough convincing formula to forge the perfect lie, you have kids? don't other people have kids? would you like your kids to see his videos and take them for "5 minute video training can replace 25 years of training" and therefore use it in real life then get killed by some thug? realising that passive training via a youtube video doesn't work! that's the real disaster!
