Where can I find the other 4 videos in this series? Are they also on the SoM KZbin?

One thing I don’t understand: when I try to parent the position of a layer from one composition to the position of another layer in another composition, the keyframed animation is not transferred to the child layer, it only gets only the first keyframe of the animation. Is there any solution?

only so you understand, why beginners are so frustrated with people teaching, around 1:50 ctrl + click is not working, correct is ctrl + right click on the mouse

Actually ctrl+left click and just righ click are the same action (context menu). When you use ctrl + right click the "ctrl" key ain't doing anything. In this video I believe he is using a Mac só the ctrl + left click works, but I think on windows the equivalent is right alt + left click. Also, if it may help, the approach I take with these tutorials, to avoid frustration, is to not look at it as a way to master the technique, but a way to improve my research on the subject. (e.g. now I know what shape layers are, so I can search: cool animations using shape layers on after effects). That way I don't feel frustrated for not learning everything, I feel excited for what I learned and that now I know how to take the next step. In your situation, you had trouble with the shortcut, but now you knew the menu and the option were there, you just had to discover the correct key to access it. But before it, you maybe didn't even know you could do that.

@@Apetrexo you are correct, CTRL +click left = nothing, click right the menu is showing, and the click on new. But you make my point, as a teacher you have to tell every step you doing. I have seen over the years so many tuts, with missing info [click] that can drive you crazy . But this is reflecting on School of Motion, even though I love to follow. BTW I know about the menu before, but I am really bad of using the Keyboard. Until now time saving is not a factor for me yet
