Shapez.io SPEEDRUN MASTER!!

Here we attempt and COMPLETE the "Speedrun Master" Steam Achievement, which gives us 100% of the Steam Achievements!!

Sick moves mate. My first speedrun attempt to lvl 12 cost me a little under 60 minutes. I thought "How the heck does one half that?". Now I know.. Yet I really don't think I can match this without sinking the next month of my life into this. All the while slowly descending into madness.

lol yup, it took me SOOOO many tries to get it even when I had a solid plan. I know you'll get it eventually, but it takes a butt ton of practice! I'm not even going to try to do it again!

I think it also doesn't count the time between the levels, you know, when the bar fills up to click the next level button.

Congratulations. I knew you could do it with enough tries. Your belts do look like they're going slower than normal so I'm inclined to believe it was the capture software doing it. When I did my run, I used a stopwatch to keep track of it.

You mentioned the video capture software was doing 24 FPS. You might actually be playing in 30 FPS. Which is about 20% difference. 26mins(actual) vs 30 mins(video play time) is near 14% difference. you see the connection? your software captured in 24 frames per second. The video was trying to put all the frames together maybe in 29.97 frames per seconds. Thus, you get an inaccurate total play time on the video. So the game system timing should be accurate. I don't know. I might be just doing the crazy talks.

I have a problem. Time passes too quickly for me ingame. Even if I build the same as you and place it faster than you. By the time you see minute 9, I'm already at about minute 11-13. I even tried to reduce the frames of my PC to 20. same result. I had a clock running on the side. And when the clock reaches minute 8 fresh, it's already minute 9 ingame. But I need the 30 minutes.^^ So I'm forced to complete the achievement in about 24-25 minutes, which is just not enough for me.

You're not wrong... when I finished recording the episode, I looked down at the timer and saw that like 33 min had passed. Yet, I ended up getting credit for the achievement. I'll take it, but that bug, whatever it was, kinda turned me off the game, and is a big reason I haven't wanted to explore it more and make more Shapez videos.

fun fact using tunnel instead of belt will make your machine cost less to copy, if the belt is not really short and there is no turn then you can use tunnel

how do you switch which way the belts are going when using shift to plan them out? that's the only hot key I havent figured out yet

I cant recall off the top of my head atm, but I did a vid before this one, the Speedrun Novice, where I talk about all these hotkeys that I had just started using. **Update** use the CTRL key to hold belt in a particular orientation as you drag it

@@JoMomma1973 Thank you! I didn't think to check rotating belt planner. You helped a lot with some settings and I'm testing out lowering hertz for tick rate to see if it helps lol I got 47 mins on first attempt with Bill's vid and a lot of pausing with all normal settings, now to make a step list and use as many time saves as possible with hot keys and grid

At the time of filming, it was a GTX 980M. I've since upgraded, but have not tried the game since.
