Man he makes it look so easy. I wish I had that much skill. It would take me a week to make that panel look that good.

On one hand, we all loved the era of trading paint and banging fenders…on the other hand, tons of hours and care went into shaping these bodies and then fixing them afterwards! This was also the era when drivers in victory lane would make sure to thank all the guys back in the shop…

I love that you a fixing the shape of the fenders. I know its an aero thing but just the look of the car changes when its done right.

Seeing the huge brake press behind him brought back tons of memories using analog calibration to make sure the aluminum Jon boat hulls were press correctly, the kiel to the final starboard and port side walls being pressed to its angle.

This is an awesome series to show how to do some body work on a race car and make it look great. Even as the car is, once he put the wheel on the car, it just looks amazing. I have a lot of respect for men who can do this art and make it look so good. Keep up the good work, and make sure to pass these skills down to the next generation to keep these older race cars and classic cars in good shape for generations to enjoy.

Who needs computers? Fabricating with hand made measurements, paper templates and markers. Old school. :)

It’s amazing to see the skill it takes to fabricate these cars. It’s ashamed that they no longer let the teams build cars this way anymore. Took all the creativity out of the fabrication

Brian is an absolute master at his craft. My only hope is that he is mentoring some of the younger guys in the shop so these skills get passed down to the next generation.

I'm in the process of trying to do this myself on a 2007 Cup car. Would like info on the Vice Grip he modified to build the lip to sit the new sheet metal into. My new favorite series Thank you
