@@juanitotucupei Hakeem claim to fame was beating a 3rd year kid in Shaq in the 1995 finals. He was 22 Vs the best peak Hakeem ever.. Shaq is a perfect example of how coaching is so important. He never respected his coaches in the 90’s because they didn’t come with championships and a real winning formula. In the 90’s he was a great player, but immediately when Phil Jackson showed up in 2000 Shaq took his game to a completely different level.

Shaq is right, he never needed coaching. His whole talent was down to the fact he grew to the size he did. Other players can't rely on pure luck in genetics and need skilled coaches that form a game plan for them to be open or get good looks so they can do what they're talented in doing. Not every player can muscle their way to the basket or hook and fade.

Why are people still arguing with Shaq about coaching. Hes not going to change his position. Shaq has been who he is for years, since he was a player. This cat didnt want to listen to Pat Riley. he defied him. He villified Stan Van Gundy. The only guy he ever liked was Phil Jackson and that was it. Shaq doesnt like people telling him what to do, and thats a coach's job, so. Phil was a great psychologist and prolly knew how to talk to him, theres a way u have to talk to Shaq to get him to do something.
