Consider this, Embiid started playing at age 15 and in the next 10 years not only became an excellent defender,a monster in the paint, but also developed an excellent jump shot. His first year you remember he sat out most of it so he could win Rookie of the year the following year. In College they claim he had talent but did not work to get better. Here in phila he did the same and so Shaq and the guys in the past worked to get better. They did not make up mental problem as an excuse , he may have them now but the interview he gave did not make me believe he is doing anything to get better. He maybe but if he was working out he would out there everyday trying to improve his game. If he did not want to play that last year he should have given back all that money. He got paid that first year and did nothing but sit. Shaq couldn't make fouls shots and he took the blame and you could watch him in the gym shooing hundreds of them like the players of the past. Ben Simmons has got to understand that the criticism from Philadelphia fans was NOT because of that one Playoff Series. If you listened to them, they've been talking about Ben's lack of improvement in much-needed areas since he was drafted! He had been there for what - 4 years? Free throw shooting and 3-point shooting - as the primary ballhandler - are things that he should have been improving. For his career he has shot ~15 % from 3 and ~60% from the line... That was absolutely a jersey. used to really like Shaq. But this episode really changed my view of him. YES....We all go through struggles but we all deal with them 💯 percent differently, because we are not the same. Ben expressed pretty much everything he was feeling and going thru in that interview. But nothing Ben says matters only what people "See eith there own eyes" as Shaq said.... He's a twirp. Ben didn't hire you to make his greatness greater. He's expressing what he needed you for, when the whole world is saying he's the reason for them losing. And these 3 might see a phone, I see a jersey. Wake up people there is no way a phone would stay at the top of the pocket of sweats. Impossible. God bless and Be humane to humans

Shaq is kind of embarrassing because he's wrong and doesn't understand what's happening and people celebrate him because of what he's done in the past.

@@aquadolphinwaters158 disagreed. He comes from another era where player expectations were higher and players were tougher. He calls it objectively!

Shaq is absolutely real and honest and never gives you anything but the hard truth. He has been this way his whole entire bball career. This generation of players are Charmin soft

I watched the interview with JJ. I heard a lot of deflection and excuses. He was scared of getting fouled and shot 34% from the FT line during those playoffs.

That is not true. He reflected on himself.

He was also talking on both side of his mouth of that interview not to mention this been 3 season of this happening on great teams defending because he don’t look to shoot nor score and the court shrink because the court shrink and he don’t like playing the in the post. Not too mention his production drop meaning teams knows how to playing but he want to be label as great without improving.
@overhalltraining10782 жыл бұрын
And he said it himself. People like Shaq and Charles former players that should protect him. That not their jump. He don’t want accountability and he can not handle pressure or criticism

With me being a former Gleauge player It feels so good to hear Shaq speak from such a level of pain and distraught while also being a god of the sport that raised us is astonishing😮😮😮❤ I love him and we truely need to appreciate everything about him Even how he kept spice in the mix , that’s a level of respect that’s dying in this cold world I wish he could play!!!

Love you, Shaq. You speak that knowledge and wisdom. This younger generation (I’m part of it) can’t just coward and blame others. Keep your head down and hustle and grind and overcome. That’s always been the mantra.
