In case any Europeans are watching: The average men's shoe size in the EU is 10 (43 in EU size). Size 15 US is 49 EU, already enormous, and the boy's 22 converts to 59 which is simply gigantic. Telling by shoe zise the reporter must already be close to 2 meters tall (6' 7"), but the boy towers over him. Does anyone know how tall both guys are?

Im 6' 5" tall and wear a size 15-16 depending on shoe manufacturer. Finding shoes my size is very hard, so i can totally relate to his struggle. Hope he gets taken care of!

Poor guy. Folks don't sometimes appreciate all of the health problems that can come from poorly fitting footwear. I live in Atlanta and Shaq brings kids here for shoes as his favorite shoe place is here. He's a cool dude.

This mother doesn't sound very diligent. I wear a size 17-18 shoe and in the 70s, 80s and 90s, there was no internet and yet my mother was able to find shoes for me. Today, it would be fairly easy to find size 22 shoes on Amazon, Ebay or even a specialty retailer like Friedman's in Atlanta that goes up to size 22. You're not gonna have a big selection and you're gonna pay $100-$300, but not the $1,500 she's talking about.

I live in Germany and have the same problem. I need shoe size US 21. For 15 years I ask again and again Adidas, Puma, Nike and Reebok in Germany whether they could make special designs for me, Adidas wanted 1400Euro, I can not afford. Puma, Reebok, Nike and Under Armour never answered me. To live without shoes is a torture!
