What is the roadmap to also allow other sources and destinations like AWS S3

This is a very good fully governed solution. If your external partener dasnt have azure subscription, you can use shared access signature to allow him access your storage account container. But this solution doasnt give you a good governance.

What would be the approach incase we need to receive data from external vendors ( not in Azure environment) into target Azure storage? Does this Azure Datashare any any such options?

Internally Google Chrome is allowed to use for demo?

So this only works when sender and receiver have an Azure subscription? So its basically a cross subscription/tenant storage sync?
@MicrosoftAzure5 жыл бұрын
Both the sender and receiver need to have an Azure subscription. The data sharing can be within the same Azure subscription, cross Azure subscription, or cross Azure tenant.

I hate how at the beginning they talk about sharing data file files and folders over drop box and such, but this solution seems like it is more built for sharing raw data, rather than .pdfs, .jpegs, .docx files or .ppt files, and then an additional stipulation is actually that the reciever also needs an Azure subscription. So basically, Dropbox etc, and Email ARE STILL BETTER solutions as they offer more options!
