Last four NVMe M.2 2230 cases I bought from Sharge killed my 2230 SSDs. None of those four cases were even detected by Windows.

I love this form factor. I wish more designers would make enclosures with the pcb and drive side-by-side so the whole package is very thin if a bit wider. I don't need it to have a cable, or be magnetic. I just need it to be thin and move heat to the surface. Also 10gbps is enough for on-the-go data transfers, in my opinion. Lastly, I do want plp and solid black color option. Otherwise, very tempting product. Thanks for the review!

That's a nice looking thermal pad it comes with. Looks like an Arctic TP3. Those pads are excellent in my experience, far better than most.

Sorry if you covered this, could you plug a device into the ssd enclosure’s usb port and read on the phone? I’m interested in using this for on-the-go footage back ups. But I’d have to be able to plug in a camera also.

Do you have an idiot's buying guide for these drives on your website please? I plan to get one but can see a cockup in the making on specification. Thanks for the great content guys, love the channel.

Kind of scammy they're running a kickstarter when they've already launched multiple consecutive products.
@nascompares3 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say 'scammy', but it is a little disingenuous to launch a new product on a platform that was seemingly started for indie's. More and more we are seeing brands use crowdfunding as a marketing tool. It's not bad - as long as the products arrives and is as promised, but it does definitely undermine the whole 'start up' thing and likely increase the bar if entry for smaller devs
@aznravensdrive59003 ай бұрын
Consider this from another perspective: investing in an unknown startup carries significant risks. There's a chance they could take your money and disappear, leaving you without the product you were promised. Established companies, on the other hand, have a proven track record. They understand the complexities of manufacturing and have experience managing costs, which increases the likelihood that you'll actually receive the product you paid for.

@@nascompares I agree, didn't choose the right wording, but true, I believe they should stay away from crowdfunding when they're already established and have cash flow to bring products without need of taking people's money in advance.
@No1x3N3 ай бұрын
@@aznravensdrive5900 The only thing that I have against them using crowdfunding is that they already should have enough funds to invest into R&D and bringing a product to the market. Only reason I see for them relying into kickstarter is for free marketing and to pass the risk of a potential flop in the launch to the customer.

This is how they test the water of the market, if you really want it, you will pay in the kickstarter

Absolutely decent for bit faster moving of data, but we need more devices to be supporting at least USB4 and TB speed before it makes sense to put really high performance m.2 in them as even a gen3 will saturate usb 3.2
@huyanh9953 ай бұрын
There are a lot of enclosures supporting USB4 using ASM2464PD, but it is very hot, making it less practical in on the go situation.
