I lives in Canada, getting married soon(arrange marriage), It was always in my mind to discuss with my partner to do 50-50, I won’t do exact 50-50, but after buying house we need to pay mortgage, one month I will pay house EMI, partner will pay groceries+utilities(electricity,hydro, wifi & waste management) and next month we will switch. Here major expense is House EMI and groceries+utilities. Phone bills we can pay from our own accounts (fixed bills auto pay).

Most new apartments cost 2.5-3 cr 10k for maid and cook 5k electric bill 2k broadband and mobile 10-20k for eating out on weekends 30k for groceries 10-20k for shopping 1lk for children school fees and other expenses 50k to save for once a year foreign trip 30k EMI for a 15lk car 10k petrol and maintenance 1lk SIP for mutual funds Overall approx 4-5lk pm which includes savings. So 75lk-1cr per annum gross income is required for decent living

Jyoti in Uk is totally different here the labour is very expensive so you can’t really afford to have maid or helper. Also on the other hand here primary and secondary education for children is free. The children will be not charged for travelling also till age 16 years. Also the doctor services here are free you just have to pay for your prescription. For children it is free. But the tax paying is very high here so the government afford to give the services to public. Here the poor people get lot of benefits. Like india here there is no difference between poor and rich. That is a good thing.😍😍😍😍
