Mad hippie is my favorite skin care line ever. I've tried so much skin care from the very cheap to the very expensive and this is the best by far. they do not offer anything gimmicky - they just offer a simple set of products that actually work and are affordable for most. the company also has very good ethics and customer service.

Mad Hippie for the win! I've been using the creamy cleanser for a little over a week and love it! There are two things that keep this line from being a darling of the green beauty community: 1) packaging--probably not luxe enough and 2) aroma isn't "spa-like." Performance is great and price point is great. I just priced a $68 cleansing balm which is way out of reach for me, but it puts the value nd performance of this line into perspective. Thanks for the recommendation.

I bought the cream cleanser, but didn't really use it until a few weeks ago. I love it. It's so gentle, doesn't strip skin of oils, but is also very cleansing. It's a great Autumn/Winter cleanser. I like it so much that I'm going to try a few more of their products.

@@amberandrews1604 I did try it and that was the only product I wasn't too happy about. You have to really keep on layering it and I still ended up putting another mascara on top of it. But was happy with the "concealer" foundation and the blush/lip color is very nice too. They just need to offer a bigger size concealer! I feel like it may not last that long!

Hi! I first wanted to let you know i finally got my "find a match" for alimapure. For the satin matte foundation. I LOVE it! Thank you so much for your recommendations and just your videos in general!! Im about to try the mad hippie exfoliating serum, i was curious do you also use any type of a physical exfloliating thing? Like a scrub pad or does the serum work for an all exfloliating purpose?
@amberandrews1604
@amberandrews1604 6 жыл бұрын
SOOO glad you like the alima pure!! so I haven't been using the exfoliating serum in my routine lately, Ive been using a Paulas Choice BHA liquid. BHA was recommended to me from an aesthetician to help clear my clogged pores and under the surface issues as well as the occasional break out (mostly in the chin and sides of mouth area) I swear by that stuff now and have repurchased almost 4-5 bottles. Its the only thing I'm using on my face that isn't fully "organic" and I think I'm ok with that because it works so well!!! For physical exfoliation I usually use a gentle scrub. The one I really liked was the Cocovit polishing grains, and I'm using an SW Basics one right now but don't love it. I switch off between and gentle physical and chemical exfoliation each night and that has worked really well for my skin. Both of those I mentioned are a dry grains kinda scrub that you mix with water. Ill let you know when I find a new one cause I'm kinda in the market!

Hi! what do you think about the ingredients in the new Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation? I can't find a rating for the health of the ingredients online anywhere.
@amberandrews1604
@amberandrews1604 6 жыл бұрын
I just went ahead and checked the ingredients for you. There were a few that came up at a 3 or 4 such as the Tocopheryl Acetate, PEG-10 Dimethicone and things like that. But the active sunscreen in there: Octinoxate came up as a 6 and the Retinol in there: Retinyl Palmitate was a 9! Hope that helps. I'd say its not the worst thing in the world by any means, but there are definitely cleaner options out there. Unfortunately just not always available at the drugstore. I personally try to stay away from ingredients that rate above a 6 or so on the rating scales and avoid anything that comes up red like the retinol did. But that's just my personal choice and you should use whatever you feel best about!!! :)

Do you store your vitamin c serum in the fridge? I’ve always been afraid of vitamin c serums because I’ve heard they spoil if they’re not stored just right.

When dealing with Vit C serums it depends on what type of Vit C is used. L Ascorbic acid...which is the unstable form of vit c and degrades quickly. This is the form of vit c you are thinking of. Mad Hippie Vit C uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which is a much more stable form of vit c so you don't need to keep it refrigerated or worry about it losing it potency over time. There are other types as well so just check the type used to figure out how to store it and how quickly to use it up. Hope this helps☺

Yes! So I ended up getting real gold ones put in by a piercing place years ago and never regretted it! They have no ball or clasp or anything so they can just twist around in there without any issues but I can't take them out on my own. If you want something you can take in and out but still looks seamless I'd check out Mejuri or Minimal Bijoux on Etsy! 💕

I tried it for a week, and had to return it because my clear skin is now a mess. Warning: it has coconut oil and that clogged my pores and made me breakout, so if you have sensitive skin, beware. Also, the amount you get is tiny for such a price.

The type of skin cleanser you use depends on the type of skin you have. The foaming cleansers are more appropriate for oily skin. Creamy cleansers are more appropriate for normal/combination and sensitive skin. For dry skin you definitely do not want a foaming cleanser you'd want more of a creamy non lathering cleanser with a little oil in it or really hydrating ingredients.
