Nice vlog, Gaurav & Avi, and thank you for sharing your experience. Our experience is the same, but the country is different. I came to Saudi Arabia in 2010 from scratch, we built everything here. Once kids grow up, you have to move from Gulf countries. Then we decided to move to another country. I was so confused about whether I should move to the UK or NZ, which would be better for us. I have a job offer in both countries. Finally, we decided to move to the UK after seeing your videos. InshaAllah, we are planning to move to the UK in May 2024, and most probably, I will try to meet you guys in the UK with my family. Avi - I am in the same cybersecurity field, handling cybersecurity audits, and now I will be going to handle techno commercials for cybersecurity products.

Me & My wife shifted to UK just last year in March of 2023 on a skilled worker visa. All I can say that its definitely worth moving to the UK from India at least for us. We both were working in India for over 14 years in our separate fields but still could not afford to buy home in Delhi. Its just been 9 months here in UK and we are planning to buy our own home within next 2 years.. And i can tell you its not just another home. Its a home in South London. Not far from Central London. People who lives in UK know what I am talking about 😅

I am in UK and had been here since 2022, i think country is good as avi mentioned no pollution, good infrastructure and better food to eat, but now a days i see especially after Covid as salary in india increased people are reluctant to mover here , salaries in UK is relatively not good compared to India (not comparing service sector)sometimes i think it is better to live with your frnd and family the reward of being with frnds will surpass the harm of polluted air

Firstly we don’t convince anyone to be in the UK and everyone’s experience is difference.. Also that’s true! You may get better salary these days there.. but how would you get same work culture, same mindset, same work life balance? Don’t think everyone can get it.. some MNC’s may have better work culture but not all..

I would love to hear your views as its been 1.5 years for me in UK now and I am really confused.

it depends on your personal circumstances.. if you can afford your own house then why renting and paying someone else’s mortgage.. you can sell your house within a week or two in the Uk even if you plan to go back..so plan accordingly!

There are many disadvantages to be in this country! Think multiple times before you come if you have decent lifestyle and salary in India! First is weather, always grey clouds! 90 percent of time whole year without any sun ! If you are coming from India believe me it will be such a depressing thing, secondly yes there may be less pesticides but where are vegetables! You will get limited variety and it will not have any taste! You will compromise on food every time! In India in very less money you can enjoy evening snacks outside or good food! Here you will have to pay more and regret of having it will be at next level! Next thing I never understand why Indians move to uk! Believe me all Indians live with another Indian! You have to speak or eat with another fellow Indian! There won’t be any social life where you can know more about Brit’s! You will feel unwelcome every step! Brits do not believe in socialising with us so it’s like you are staying in uk creating mini version of India! At multiple places you will be treated as fellow from poor country and you may have to deal with humiliation occasionally! Yes there are good and bad both experiences! Only major advantage would be no need to face traffic chaos in all the metro cities! If you want to stay in UK you need to have thick skin where you can focus on yourself and forget all the bad experiences! If you can live with that fact forever then only one can stay in uk forever!
