Thank you! And glad you like hearing the details. It’s fun to think out loud and always deliberate.

Love your videos. How many rotor hours do you have?

What happened to your 505??? I don't trust those Robinsons at all... anything that has a SFAR to fly it is too risky for me. :)
@HeliPilotLeigh15 күн бұрын
I have both, fly both, and LOVE both! If you had a little Freedom Machine like this 44 I guarantee you would love it too. The pilots who are the risk, not the helicopter.

@@HeliPilotLeigh I've seen too many mast bumps - one literally in my back yard. The "Bucked Up" Robinson crashed just down the street after a mast bump.

@@TheMotoRockers I’m so sorry you had to witness that😢 Sounds like it was an engine failure during a practice autorotation. I’ve heard several cases where the engine quits when throttle rolled to idle on a very hot day or when idle is a tad low. There was no “mast bump” to cause this accident. Practicing emergency procedures is a high risk type of flying.

Same here! Retired after 42 years rotorwing, 10 years AK, NEVER flown or flown IN a "Robertson" and vowed never to! I do not like them and they are not very crashworthy! "Yes, I know the correct brand name, but call them "ROBERTSON's" just to show my dislike of them! Put's a BURR in the saddle of the Robertson driver's! HA"

@ LOL - I have seen pilots who were operating within the POH limits and hit a downdraft which caused a mast bump. There are many other 2 blade rotor designs that don’t have this common issue. The Bell is a great example. But my heli of choice is the MD500E. :)

#1 Tip..... Never fly or be a passenger on an R-44. Deathtrap 101.

I've honestly had way more in flight warning lights and failures in a 500.

@@HeliPilotLeigh Old days of Helos are gone, give me a mechanical gauge vs a computer driven sensor any day of the week....No longer flying.

@@stevel4997 The MD500’s I am referring to are as old as they come…lol. This little 44 Freedom Machine is all round gages and as simple and mechanical as it comes. No failures with it, ever. I’m trying to understand your two comments…maybe conflicting?
