Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Verily, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and earth, even the fish in the depths of the water, seek forgiveness for the scholar. The virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the stars. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. Same here, I follow the news Litvinenko’s poison and his eventual demise vigorously when the issue was brewing but never knew he accepted Islam in the end. The mainstream media never disclosed it. I just did a quick research on it after listening to this Khutbah. what I found is that the guardian new paper only made mentioned of Alexander conversion to Islam in last paragraph of the article. And it read “Litvinenko told his father he had converted to Islam. Mrs Litvinenko said Walter replied: “It doesn’t matter. At least you’re not a communist.” Can you imagine ? It should have made a big headlines. I bet most people don’t know this. May Allah accept his return and forgive him of his sins. Aamiin

The good news is that slavery is halal (23)Chapter: The permissibility of selling animals for animals of the same kind and of different quality(23) باب جَوَازِ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ مِنْ جِنْسِهِ مُتَفَاضِلاً ‏‏ Sahih Muslim 1602 Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported: There came a slave and pledg- ed allegiance to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free man) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، وَابْنُ، رُمْحٍ قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ قُتَيْبَةُ، بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ عَبْدٌ فَبَايَعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَلَمْ يَشْعُرْ أَنَّهُ عَبْدٌ فَجَاءَ سَيِّدُهُ يُرِيدُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ بِعْنِيهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَاشْتَرَاهُ بِعَبْدَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُبَايِعْ أَحَدًا بَعْدُ حَتَّى يَسْأَلَهُ ‏"‏ أَعَبْدٌ هُوَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ Reference : Sahih Muslim 1602 In-book reference : Book 22, Hadith 152 USC-MSA web (English) reference : Book 10, Hadith 3901

@@ponderingspirit So... Beginning with the Bible, worshiping God is in the Bible & the meaning of life is throughout the Bible. When does the promise of paradise first appear? I know Jesus talked a lot about Heaven (the Kingdom of God) and how to get in. but where did Islam get the idea there's paradise for them? Did Allah tell Moses or Noah or Abraham about life after death?

@@oolalamme2698 According to islamic belief: the heaven was always told to people since the dawn of time. different prophets came to spread the word of God (That there's one god worship him, do not worship idols), but however every message from God to a certain people start to vanish with time and people always tend to add fairy tails in it until it becomes pagan/polytheistic. God sent a lot of messages to earth, a message from God can be a prophet (like jesus), it can be a book (like the Quran) as it can take other forms.. Who goes to heaven?? only muslims go... ok, this may be a little bit confusing but when i say only a muslim go to heaven I don't necessarily mean someone like the sheikh here or someone who believes in the Quran, a muslim is an arabic word that mean "submission to the one", anyone who submits to God alone and do good in life can go to heaven even if he isn't a technical "muslim", but in the same time if you read the Quran fully and you knew this is from God and you disbelieved in it, you will be responsible for that. So God doesn't punish someone that didn't get a message.

@@oolalamme2698 so, according to that belief,God has always sent messages to people to tell them about the day of judgement, and heaven, so yes Abraham told his people about the heaven (as it's obvious in judaism) so did noah, so did John the Baptist (as it's obvious in the mandaeism) so did the message that was sent to indians (before the corruption of hinduism to polytheism) so did all the messages.

Jedwy Mostahmed. It may shock you to know that never and nowhere in the Old Testament did Almighty GOD ever tell Abraham, Noah or any other Old Testament prophet that there was a Heaven (Jannah), where people would live eternally, nor how to get into Heaven. In fact, the Israelites/Jews were *seeking GOD's favor here on earth - NOT in life after death!!* All the way through the Old Testament they obeyed The Laws given to Moses and they worshiped YHWH, desiring to please Him so that He would protect them from their enemies and give them the Promised Land of Israel. As far as John the Baptist, he was the cousin of Jesus Christ. John *baptized Jesus* and witnessed the Holy Spirit and the Voice of Father GOD at Jesus' baptism. The quran corrupted the truth about many Biblical Truths. Now go to your mosque and ask if anyone can prove that Almighty GOD revealed Heaven (Jannah) before Jesus came to earth and did so many times during His 3-year ministry. The quran says nothing about the origin of the Islamic Jannah.
