Shees Park -Nestled in Hajar Mountains, Shees Park offers tranquil nature escape. Discover a scenic oasis with a 25m waterfall, recreation, and family fun.
Najd Al Maqsar Village-area stands as a living testament to a rich history dating back thousands of years. Located in the heart of a “Wadi” (river bed), it is home to a historic fort, established nearly 300 years ago on the summit of the mountain. This land was once inhabited by a tribe, who settled near the abundant water source of the nearby wadi which allowed for an “al falaj” irrigation system which watered the land.
Al Rafisah Dam - Heading toward Khorfakkan on the new Sharjah - Khorfakkan highway opens up a vista of the beautiful Al Rafisah Dam. Originally built in the 1980s, the dam has had an upgrade with a new visitor centre and rest area. Travel time from Sharjah to Khorfakkan has been reduced to 45 minutes, due to the new road, allowing more visitors to enjoy the serene pleasures of the area where a large, clear lake with boating facilities is overlooked by the magnificent Hajar mountains.
Al Majaz Amphitheatre - is dedicated to bringing a broad range of performance arts, plays, musicals, community events and concerts. Since 2014 Al Majaz Amphitheatre has built a platform that supports art and culture in Sharjah, the UAE and the region. It was the official venue to celebrate the crowning of Sharjah as the Islamic Culture Capital of the Arab region in 2014.
This magnificent edifice is the first of its kind in the region. The open-air theatre is inspired by the Roman-style Amphitheatre and designed in a semicircular shape. At 7,238 square meters in area, the theatre can accommodate 4,500 spectators. There is a large stage mediating Al Majaz Amphitheatre where artists can present their performances.
