Shark Rescue in Walvis Bay Lagoon

In a remarkable display of marine rescue efforts, the Ocean Conservation Namibia team, led by Naude Dryer, rescued 15 sharks trapped in a shallow pool in the Walvis Bay Lagoon.
The video footage reveals the challenging conditions faced by the stranded sharks as they navigate the confined space.
The sharks rescued included the Spotted Gully and Smoothhound species.

Sou pescador e faço muitas solturas. Não conheço a natureza dos peixes do mar, mas os de rios e lagos não podem ser manuseado de qualquer jeito. Se deixar eles caírem no chão e se debaterem nem adianta soltar. Tem que pegar com cuidado usando as 2 mãos, fazer o registro em imagens ou fotos, e fazer a soltura suavemente na beira pra que eles recuperem a força do oxigênio e se vão a favor da correnteza, e nunca contra ela. Também não pode pegar na guelra do peixe a ser solto. Pode ser tubarão seja resistente o suficiente pra suportar estes capotes e ainda sobreviver. O certo neste caso seria uma rede do tipo maca. A mesma que usam pra pesagem nos campeonatos de pescas. O peixe fica numa só posição horizontal podendo ser levado por 2 pessoas até ao mar e não se machuca.

A shark's respiratory organs require some flow, as they are not operated by muscles like most animals. In other words, the shark will suffocate if it can no longer move.
