The brush does swivel. You have to push in the gold circle on the side of the brush for it to move 🙂

I wish all reviews were as thorough. I'm a fan! Bought my Shark.... no need for the ridiculously priced Dyson unless it also serves as a leaf blower even then I seem still would find it hard to stomach $500. Thanks for sharing!!!! 😊
@Carolina-ec7rz8 ай бұрын
Maybe the shark took 2 minutes longer to dry than the Dyson because the Dyson side had more time to air dry while you were working on the other side? Could that be the reason? No hate just wondering 😅 thanks for the helpful review 😊

Hey Sam! Thermal brushes are really popular right now and I’m interested but haven’t a clue where to start. There’s so many! If you could try one out that would be amazing! Also, a video on the TYMO Ring hair straightener brush from Target would be really cool too. You’re always so informative and helpful!

I may have no business answering this comment. But I got a Tymo Ring straightener for Christmas and it's the best thing ever. It DOES get hot though. It's just not as easy to burn yourself like you would with a Clamp. I personally am very afraid of clamp straighteners, but the tymo ring gave me the freedom to wear my hair however I please and to do it in less than 20 mins. I have 3b hair, high density, medium thickness hair if that helps. As for the heat damage. I had NONE while using it , and I used it for a month straight once every week. I wrap my hair to uphold the style, so that helps, but just as an fyi, it didn't damage my hair. But I always use it with heat protection and a maximum of 2 times a week. Because the wow dream coat was a lie and it was humid xD

It is interesting. As a hairstylist I felt like the Shark side was smoother and shinier than the Dyson side (but the lighting and angle was a disadvantage for the viewer). I have a Dyson that just cut out on me so I'm researching the Shark.

I was hoping you would review the diffuser attachment. I have curly/frizzy hair and I would be getting this to define my curls and decrease frizz. Wondering how it works compared to a regular diffuser and hair blower. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video you explained it so well and had so many great examples of this blow dryer I really appreciate it. Also, the brush attachment does swivel you just have to press the gold button on the side and it should move :). Maybe next time you can review the Shark Flex Style, I was wondering if the curling attachments are worth it because I have a really hard time getting my hair to hold a curl, but it looks so easy to curl your hair with. Thank you so much loved this video:)

Can you review a couple of heatless curl method? :) I have very fine bleached hair so I try to avoid using any heat on a daily basis ❤ keep up the amazing work!!

Thank you so much for doing that comparison ! I already have the dyson but I wish I would of known about the shark before I made the plung of the $499 purchase but at lease now others like me have other options cuz at first I really struggled with the round brush but I also have always had long hair but I’ve been getting better the more I do it and when I don’t wanna do it I’ll just go to the salon and pay for it and I don’t mind cuz I know I’m helping out a my gals smalls business and this time of year especially she needs it cuz she has kids but I even had her curl my hair which I have the tool that’s super fast at curling my hair at home but being it was my daughters funeral I just couldn’t deal with more that day and couldn’t risk being late on a day like that especially cuz when my daughter died at just 27 yrs old first it was very recent but so very unexpectedly plus she left behind my 2 young grandbabies which I’m a young grandma also so I’m a complete wreck but The kids are what worries me the most cuz I know how much my kids have needed me and the fact that her 2 yr old daughter won’t remember her besides what we teach her kills me yet her son who was 6 & now just turned 7 was so very close with her and is acting out cuz he misses her so much which both her kids were born extremely early her daughter was the biggest born at 32 weeks & almost 3 lbs and her son at 28 weeks and only 1lb 2 Oz(placenta abruption & thank god she was already at the hospital cuz she wasn’t feeling well otherwise docs said she would have bled out internally so fast she would have died b4 she even knew what was happening so that was Devine intervention for sure& thank god the nurse caught her blood pressure drop& she was rushed into surgery immediately & was fully put under&when they got the baby out he had no heart beat so they started resuscitation & were able to restart his heart thank heavens! But when Lex woke up she had no idea what had happened & was so confused why they had taken the baby& the whole bit cuz there was no time to explain anything to her it was so sad cuz she thought her baby had passed& not even 6 months earlier her older sister@almost 39weeks had a still born that Lex was there for& we were still grieving, it was hard) we were told he had only a 10% chance of living cuz most die of some cardiac event but Lex(my daughter) was there everyday& refused to leave his side& had seen the baby boy in the next room who was bigger& older pass from a random cardiac event so of course she was scared but stayed positive, needless to say why they were so close& why he is having the hardest time now his mom is gone& now with the holidays it’s just making things that much more harder, she belongs here! Taken way to soon & it still doesn’t feel real at times & I know I’ll never be ok so how is her babies ever gonna be!?!? I focus on them of course but the pain is nothing like I’ve ever felt and indescribable! Pray 🙏 for her children to find peace and to feel that their mommy is with them in spirit always please 🙏 god bless! I’m sure no one will ever read this entire novel of a message but if anyone does please like it so I know there is support& love& prayers out there! Thank you dearly & Merry Christmas 🎄 to all w/Love & be safe out there! ❤❤❤

I've just got this one not used yet but looking forward to using the brush attachment has a button on side so you can turn it... I've been using ghd ones for years but just found so heavy to hold... Shark is alot lighter x

Hi Sam! Have you heard things about the L'Oreal steampod ?

I was shouting at the screen watching this. The brush and the smoothing attachments do rotate completely to whatever angle you want. You just press the button on the side!

I recently bought the Amika blow out babe thermal brush. I love it but my hair isn’t super curly/doesn’t need a ton of heat. Would love to hear your opinion on it! I think you would love it for day 2 hair or on your finer haired clients.
@bonniehamms285010 ай бұрын
how warm is the lowest heat setting? i typically use the cool setting on my current blow dryer and then use heat for the finishing.

i dont think the shark took 2 mins longer to dry.. i think by time you got to the side to use the dyson... your hair would naturally be more drier as you have been drying the shark side.. dont you think?

IMO, as a hairstylist, I think the concentrator attachment shouldn’t swivel just because when I’m blow drying a client it gets annoying to fix the concentrator to stay vertical. I don’t have this Shark model but I do have the Shark dryer similar to the Dyson and that concentrator does swivel.
@tekelaandnem746111 ай бұрын
It will swivel. You just have to push in the gold circle on the side of the brush to make it move 🙂

I loved your video!! Thanks so much! I was glad to see others mentioned about the brush swivel pushing in the gold button to turn it. That seemed to be the only thing you didn't love about it. I just ordered one :-)

the brush DOES ROTATE, press on both sides and it swivels, also use the defrizz piece, works great to smooth and defrizz and if too straight then use the brush to blow volumn from underneath

Is the noise of the dryer pretty comparable to a normal dryer?
@zombie_bondageАй бұрын
It’s not as loud but it does have a high pitched noise that sounds like a dentist drill to me so I find it hard to deal with, but it is technically quieter

I’m looking at these two dryers for my dogs (just at shows, it would be mine on a daily basis lol). I’m looking for great airflow but not super hot (I usually use Med/Low heat on them). I was going to go with the Dyson because of the flyaway attachment to straighten, does the Shark’s attachment compare equally?
@Rubi10137 ай бұрын
Got the two, I am gonna be honest I prefer the Shark it leaves my hair more smooth I wish I dint buy the Dyson 😢 I barely use it now.

It's better you spend 10 minutes to read the manual before using the product and do a review...

exactly..the brush swivels but she would know that if she took the time to read the manual.
