I have been watching you since i was 4 years old. I was obsessed with vacuum cleaners and would always ask for them for birthdays and christmas. I am now 15 and i still enjoy vacuums and have been watching you for 11 years. I love you content so much!

It would be nice if they included a set of spare filters with the machine.

Perfect timing, thank you. I have seen this Shark advertised online on a few sites and wondered 🤔 should I or shouldn't I? However Due to the weight I have decided it is not for me. Your reviews are so informative. I too hate the discolouration of the bins, surely with all the technology they can come up with something better. No doubt that would add to the cost. Have a great day.

Just got the new power detect lift away, we often use a cordless mainly but since using the shark it has pulled so much out in as little as 10 seconds, I have never been a fan of sharks but this one changed my mind ! It seems with the filter picking up a large amount of dust in one go seems to mess them up quickly but I have found general cleaning doesn’t make the filters dirty anywhere near as much as i thought

Ive almost been tempted to supplement my numatic with the cordless version of this machine but unsure of the build quality of shark machines. Previously had a hz500ukt. Also a messy job having to keep it clean..ive upgraded my numatic henry with a new main floor turbo brush and mini turbo brush. Bagged vacuum cleaners are always the best. Only wish numatic did clip together wands though as they are so hard to take apart when swapping over the tools. Another minus with shark. No onboard tool storage.. nice demonstration though roger. I appreciated that. Thank you.

I got my son and his lady a Vertex a couple years ago, but his Newfie and Retriever made short work of it. So I think I’m gonna bypass the Stratos and get that new Detect. It’s an expensive bird…but no expense spared for my only offspring and his two K9 boys, Zeus and Percy!

I wouldn't recommend a Shark Detect for pet hair. It has the same basic design as the Vertex and Stratos but it adds more sensors and lights and cost. I'd either go for a Sebo Felix if you want a very durable vacuum or if you want a bagless vacuum the Dyson Animal 3.

big tank. I love it

That little brush at 10:05, it’s a floor detector so the vacuum can sense what carpet and floor it’s on and it adjusts accordingly to which floor or carpets it’s on.
@ibaisaic6 күн бұрын
I’m not sure what it is supposed to adjust as you have to select for different surfaces using the hand controls.
@gregallsmagic6 күн бұрын
I think it adjusts the height of the brush roll. I watched a brief video from HSN with this vacuum. I may be wrong. I’ll have to watch it again.

@@ibaisaic I saw that Shark says the new PowerDetect can detect floor type and direction but I don't know why the switch would be on the Stratos XL which has neither feature. Maybe they share the baseplate or maybe they pulled the feature from the Stratos but left the part?

The max fill line for this exact cleaner in the US is much lower on the bin. It’s about halfway of the center pipe near the bottom. Yours is right at the top. I’m curious why that could be, and if I could ‘overfill’ my bin past the recommended mark without harming the motor…

British homes are typically smaller (tiny row houses) and have less square footage to accumulate dirt. And nothing will happen. The fill line is that low so that the cyclones don't suck the dirt back into the system and clog them up. It's a problem Dysons have had since the beginning.

Brilliant demonstration as always Rog. This beast did a great job on the kitchen floor, it’s rather ugly and the size of the handle is offensive but it did seem to do a good job.

I'm guessing the powerdetect isn't available yet in the UK? Do you know Roger, if SharkNinja is their own entity in the UK or are they a distributor?
