Absolutely not the case with underwater artifacts. I'm just an amateur, but in my experience there are sites (old docks and such) where you can find serious treasures even after decades of other divers combing the place. The fellow accurately noted that just because people took off the top layer of loot, doesn't mean there isn't a ton left under the silt. That being said, it'd probably help if he had a record of previous salvage operations to see how much could be left.
@fathom4932 жыл бұрын
@@darkrai7597 It's very possible that it is that cheap. It looks very shallow so air lasts longer, less decompression times, etc. I think that it may be cheap, but the potential loss is massive. Lol exactly! I was thinking, “why he looking for an investor to give away the profits if he knows this is sure thing?” Surely, he can get a bank loan, as he knows the treasure is there for taking, and he can keep 100% of the profits.

That was interesting. Realistically, the logistics+ challenges in that situation can be insurmountable. So many things can go wrong; bad weather, unforseen hazards, equipment failure, he himself said the under currents there were really strong. With Shark Tank its usually about Product, and Product always deals w/the innovation of civilians needs + psychological interests of the population. Civilian Needs+Psychological Interest are a PEOPLE thing. With THIS it's not people; its the Physical World. You're taking a risk on engaging with the Physical World- carrying the weight of the Ore up to the surface, Low visibility, Hydraulics, temperature of the water, ACTUAL Sharks he mentioned (ironic), and most of all...the very Ocean itself: The most formidible of challenges! That's what made this particular one interesting. It was a fish out of water so to speak, instead of the typical People Factor this was the obstacle of real Physics.

If he was so "for sure" about it. And he has "$500k" in retirement he could use. Then why would he be willing to give 25% of his business away when he could literally find the funds with only half of his retirement funds? Something smells fishy to me here and I don't think it's just the rocks he had in his cooler.
